Recently, the Commissioner Against Corruption, Ao Ieong Seong, has led a delegation of the CCAC to Beijing, where they visited a number of entities successively including the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, the Supreme People’s Court, the Ministry of Public Security, the National Supervisory Commission and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate for exchange of the work of building of integrity and the rule of law.

7 MICE Training Courses Held in the First Four Months to Strengthen Competitiveness + Engage Conference Ambassadors to Attract High-Quality MICE Events
In line with the SAR Government's strategy for appropriate economic diversification, the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) continues to collaborate with the industry and universities to cultivate professional talent in the MICE sector. As of April 10, seven MICE training courses have been held, covering all aspects from planning and bidding to safety in construction, marketing, and crisis management, with over 330 participants. More than 80 participants have obtained international certification course certificates, laying a foundation for deepening Macao's MICE industry co-operation with the international community.

Tourist price index (TPI) for the 1st quarter of 2025
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the Tourist Price Index (TPI) for the first quarter of 2025 went up by 1.15% year-on-year, on account of dearer prices of jewellery and watches, as well as higher entertainment and leisure expenses; yet, lower hotel room rates offset part of the increase. Among the various sections of goods and services, price indices of Miscellaneous Goods (e.g. jewellery, watches, arts and crafts) and Entertainment & Cultural Activities grew by 15.28% and 7.98% year-on-year respectively, while the index of Accommodation dropped by 8.47%.

Mortgage loans statistics – February 2025
According to statistics released today (11 April) by the Monetary Authority of Macao, new approvals of residential mortgage loans (RMLs) fell whereas those of commercial real estate loans (CRELs) increased month-on-month in February 2025. With regard to the outstanding balances, both RMLs and CRELs witnessed declines on a monthly basis.

Macao Selected as “Brilliant Star” MICE Outstanding Destination by the “MICE” Golden Five-Star Selection Activity
The national MICE industry’s important annual event—the 2025 International MICE (Xiong’an) Co-operation and Exchange Conference (hereinafter referred to as the “MICE Conference”)—was held from April 9 to 11 at the Xiong’an Convention and Exhibition Centre. Senior representatives and experts from various regional MICE professional organisations attended the event. During the conference, the “MICE” Golden Five-Star Selection was conducted, where the organising committee performed a preliminary screening through big data analysis, followed by two rounds of anonymous scoring by the selection committee.

Commissioner Ao Ieong Seong Meets with Chief Prosecutor General of the People’s Procuratorate of Guangdong Province Feng Jian
The Commissioner Against Corruption, Ao Ieong Seong, welcomed the visit ofthe delegation led by the Secretary of Party Leadership Group and Chief Prosecutorof the People’s Procuratorate of Guangdong Province, Feng Jian, at the headquarters of the CCAC today (10th April). Both sides exchanged views on how the procuratorial organs and law-enforcement departments of the two places may cooperate in case investigation as well as the case investigation procedures.
