Macao International Children’s Arts Festival offers charity session of Slava’s Snowshow to share joy with different communities this summer

The 2nd Macao International Children’s Arts Festival, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym), under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, presented various performances of Slava’s Snowshow between 22 and 24 August at the Macao Cultural Centre Grand Auditorium. In order to share the beauty of culture and arts with different communities, IC arranged a charity session with the Social Welfare Bureau in addition to the originally scheduled performances. Local social welfare associations were invited to enjoy this well-beloved classic stage production that returned to Macao this summer.


Public Library of the Cultural Affairs Bureau launches the 40th issue of Books and the City to interpret the unique cultural DNA of Macao

The 40th issue of Books and the City, published by the Public Library of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), is now available to the public. Themed “Cultural Macao”, this issue uses books as a medium to guide readers through an in-depth exploration of Macao’s “World Heritage” and “Intangible Cultural Heritage”. Featuring expert perspectives World Heritage insights, and artistic events, it unveils the city’s unique cultural DNA.

Commemorative postmark cancellation service of “The Commencing Day of the Electoral Campaign for the 2025 Legislative Assembly Election”

To commemorate the commencing day of the Electoral Campaign for the 2025 Legislative Assembly Election, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at Praça do Tap Seac from 9:45 to 12:45 on 30th August 2025, to provide the commemorative postmark cancellation service for The Commencing Day of the Electoral Campaign for the 2025 Legislative Assembly Election”. In case of adverse weather conditions, the Temporary Post Counter will be relocated to Tap Seac Multisport Pavillion.


MICE Competitiveness Acknowledged Again: Macao Awarded “Best Conventions Destination (Asia)”

Macao was selected as the " Best Conventions Destination (Asia)" at the M&C Asia Stella Awards ceremony held on 19 August in Bangkok, Thailand. This marks the third consecutive year that Macao has received this honour (the award for 2023-24 was named "Best Convention City (Asia)"). Representing the city, the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) accepted the award and organised a delegation of the Macao and Hengqin MICE industry to join a business matching event —M&C Asia Connections 2025—where one-on-one business discussions with their counterparts, to promote the exhibition and business advantages of Macao and Hengqin.
