“Macao.Hengqin Craft Market” opens this Thursday

The “Macao.Hengqin Craft Market”, jointly organised by the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, will be held from 12 to 15 June at the Hengqin Culture and Art Complex, featuring over 100 stalls of cultural and creative products and gastronomy. All are welcome to participate.

DSEDT and FDCT jointly launch the “Macao-Hengqin Reverse Business Matching for Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration” to facilitate technology transfer through application scenarios

The “Macao-Hengqin Reverse Business Matching for Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration” was held today (29th) at the Greenwich Ballroom, The Londoner Macao, co-organised by the Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT), the Macao Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT), and Sands China Ltd. The event gathered representatives from Macao-certified technology enterprises, technology enterprises and higher education institutions from Macao and Hengqin. Through the operational scenario technology requirements provided by Sands China, precise matching was facilitated between technology enterprises and relevant researchers. The initiative aims to guide the transformation of research achievements through actual technology needs, promoting in-depth collaboration between technological innovation and the real economy, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions for smart tourism.



SAR Government legally follows up the closure of satellite casinos through multi-pronged measures

In regard to the impact of the closure of the satellite casinos by the end of this year on their employees, the SAR Government has been highly concerned about the situation and will conduct strict supervision on the transition arrangements made by the concerned gaming concessionaires for their local employees. Meanwhile, the SAR Government will give full assistance to every single local employee affected by the closure to ensure that their legal rights and interests will not be harmed; for those in need, supports such as job matching and vocational training will also be provided.


Termination of operation of “satellite casinos” by the end of the year The Macao SAR Government requests proper employee settlement

The Macao SAR Government has received the official notifications from the SJM Resorts, S.A., the Melco Resorts (Macau), S.A. and the Galaxy Casino, S.A. regarding their terminations of operations of 11 “satellite casinos” by 31 December this year. The Macao SAR Government requires the three gaming concessionaires to properly settle the employees affected by the closure of the “satellite casinos” and will closely monitor the development of the relevant situation.
