Tap Siac Craft Market in Autumn inaugurated showcasing and selling cultural and creative products from various regions for two consecutive weeks
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the Tap Siac Craft Market in Autumn is held from today to 23 November, and from 27 to 30 November at Tap Siac Square, showcasing and selling original products from Macao and Asian regions. A number of music performances and creative handicraft workshops are also held. All are welcome to visit.

UM to confer honorary doctorates on two distinguished scholars
The University of Macau (UM) will hold the Ceremony for the Conferment of Honorary and Higher Degrees 2025 on 30 November (Sunday) at 4:00pm, during which honorary doctorates will be conferred on Ze Zhang, a leading scholar in crystal structure in materials science, and Thomas J. Sargent, Nobel laureate in Economic Sciences, in recognition of their outstanding achievements and significant contributions to society. Doctoral and master’s degrees will also be awarded on this occasion.

Dance theatre piece Selfish Selfie under the “Commissioning Performing Arts Productions” programme presented with industry exchange session to promote further development
As the second commissioned project of the Cultural Affairs Bureau’s programme “Commissioning Performing Arts Productions 2024-2026”,five sessions of the performance Selfish Selfie were concluded successfully at the Macao Cultural Centre Box II from 14 to 16 November, which received an enthusiastic response from the public and industry professionals. In order to strengthen the external promotion of local productions, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym) specially invited representatives from various stage production entities, theatres and arts festivals from Mainland China and Hong Kong to attend the performances, and to explore collaboration opportunities with the selected production teams from the “Commissioning Performing Arts Productions” programme.

MGTO partners with Thai travel trade to boost visitations through online sales platforms and on-site flash booths
From 1 to 15 November, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) organized an online-offline promotional event known as “Macao Wonder Fest 2025” in Bangkok, Thailand. Tailored for visitors from target market segments, an array of time-limited travel offers were launched on platforms in partnership with several airlines, online and offline travel agencies, while flash sales booths were set up at a BTS Skytrain station (along Bangkok Mass Transit System) within the famous shopping district of EM. Through offline promotion which led potential consumers onto the online sales platform, the Office actively brands Macao as an ideal destination for Thai residents, to expand this international visitor market in Southeast Asia.
