ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2024 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group to be held in April
The ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2024 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group, sanctioned by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), organized by the Sports Bureau, Galaxy Entertainment Group and World Table Tennis Management Group Limited (WTMG), and co-organized by the Macau Table Tennis General Association, will be held at Galaxy Arena from 15 to 21 April. Elite world table tennis players will gather in Macao to compete against one another in breath-taking matches.

34th Macao Arts Festival Outreach programme provides the audience with a diverse artistic experience
In addition to a range of performance programmes and an exhibition, the 34th Macao Arts Festival will also feature 23 outreach activities over 25 sessions, covering meet-the-artist sessions, backstage tours, talks, workshops and screenings of international stage performances, to invite the audience to appreciate art together and broaden their artistic imagination.

MPU and Sands China Jointly Run The Art Talent Development Showcase to Contribute Toward Macao’s Cultural Tourism Development
To support Macao’s youth policies and facilitate its “1+4” adequate economic diversification development, the Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), Sands China Ltd., and the MPU Alumni Association jointly organised an achievement exhibition for the Art Talent Development Showcase at the Lam Kan Exhibition Gallery of MPU to display students’ creative achievements, which received overwhelming responses. Mr Im Sio Kei, Rector of MPU; Mr Wilfred Wong, Executive Vice Chairman of Sands China Ltd.; Mr Wong U Kei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the MPU Alumni Association; and others, attended the event and presented certificates to the students who participated in the programme.

34th Macao Arts Festival creates an artistic journey of wondrous encounters with 19 selected programmes
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 34th Macao Arts Festival will present 19 selected programmes under the theme ‘Wondrous Encounters’ from 3 May to 7 June, covering theatre, Chinese opera, dance, circus, music and visual arts. The Festival will feature a number of programmes that reinterpret classics with innovative approaches, and will thereby take the audience on a journey of wondrous encounters.

[Green Exhibition on “1+4” Industries] UNEP Representative and Country Director for China Tu Ruihe Speaks on Global Environmental Protection at 2024MIECF
The 2024 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (2024MIECF) has invited Head of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) China Office and Co-chair of Result Group of the Planet in UN-China Sustainable Development Co-operation Framework Tu Ruihe to deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony (28 March), and share global environmental updates on the theme of “Global Environmental Governance: Progress and Outlook”. Concurrently, the 2024MIECF will launch a 2.0 version of “Macao Carbon Inclusion” and other initiatives to create a green exhibition, thereby encouraging the public to engage in carbon reduction efforts.

IAM to hold briefings on Standard for Uses of Food Additives in Foodstuffs this month Helping local food sector enhance production technologies as well as product safety and quality
Entering into force on 1 May this year, the “Standard for Uses of Food Additives in Foodstuffs” integrates and updates relevant food safety standards, expanding the coverage to about 400 types of food additives and adding thousands of combinations of food additives and the standards for their corresponding maximum limits of use. To help the food sector further understand the details of the regulation and the points to note about the use of food additives, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will hold two briefings, respectively on 19 and 20 March, on the “Standard for Uses of Food Additives in Foodstuffs”, with the aim of helping local food sector enhance production technologies as well as product safety and quality. Members of the sector are welcome to attend the briefings.

IAM inspects random samples of food products made in Portuguese-speaking countries and all passed the test

In recent years, there is an increase in the variety of food products made in Portuguese-speaking countries available on the Macao market for the public and tourists. In order to further understand the food safety situation of the food products from Portuguese-speaking countries, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has collected a total of 150 random samples from the local market for comprehensive testing of pathogenic microorganisms, food additives, heavy metals and mycotoxins. The results showed that all samples complied with the food safety standards of Macao.

Number bib collection for the 2024 Sands China Macao International 10K to start tomorrow
Organized by the Sports Bureau, Sands China Ltd. and the General Association of Athletics of Macau, the 2024 Sands China Macao International 10K will take place this Sunday (17 March). The Fun Run race will start at 7 a.m. and the 10K at 7:30 a.m. at the Sai Van Lake Square, with the finish located inside the Olympic SportsCentre Stadium.
