Intermittent Interruptions of Services of DSMG in the Early Morning of May 6th due to Network Maintenance and Upgrade
The network system of DSMG will undergo maintenance and upgrade on May 6th (Monday) between 12a.m. and 7a.m. Please kindly be informed that during this period, there will be intermittent delays in certain information dissemination services. The 1311 telephone system inquiry service will also experience intermittent interruptions. Services will return to normal once the maintenance and upgrade work is completed. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Due to rainstorm, by regulation, classes of secondary, primary, infant, special education are suspended this afternoon. Schools should ensure that their premises are open and arrange for staff to look after the students who have arrived at school until the conditions are safe for them to go home.

[Deepening Guangdong-Macao Economic and Trade Co-operation in “1+4” Industries] 2024 Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair Opens for Applications from Local SMEs Today (2 May)
As one of the major economic and trade exchanges between Guangdong and Macao, the 2024 Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair (2024GMBPF), jointly organised by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, will be held from 25 to 28 July at Cotai Expo Hall D, The Venetian Macao. Macao small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) interested in participating in the Fair are invited to submit applications from today (2 May) until 16 May via the “Online application system for event projects” (macaomice.ipim.gov.mo) on IPIM’s website.

UM professor appointed associate editor of three prestigious power electronics journals
Lam Chi Seng, associate professor in the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, the Institute of Microelectronics, and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Macau (UM), has been appointed associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics. Along with his current role of associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, Prof Lam now serves as an associate editor of three prestigious journals in the field of power electronics. These three journals are among the top three international journals in the field and are all SCI Q1 journals. In addition, Prof Lam is the first scholar in Macao to be appointed to such positions.

Dongpo: Life in Poems Portrait of an artist in motion
The Cultural Affairs Bureau presents Dongpo: Life in Poems, a lyrical, contemporary dance exploring traditional Chinese aesthetics. Created by prolific Sino-American multi-artist Shen Wei, this movement and imagery display will be staged at CCM’s Grand Auditorium in two shows scheduled for 21 and 22 June.
