Flora Park is open 24 hours a day from today onwards
To facilitate the optimisation of the zonal pedestrian network in relation to the Guia Hill Pedestrian Tunnel walking system and at the same time enable the public to make use of more green and leisure space at any time, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has adjusted the opening hours of Flora Park to 24 hours a day from today onwards.

“Refreshing Fujian: Starting Point of the Maritime Silk Road – Showcase of Intangible Cultural Heritage” inaugurated presenting the essence of traditional folk customs of Fujian Province
In order to strengthen the cultural exchanges and cooperation between Macao and Fujian, and enhance the public’s understanding of the country’s intangible cultural heritage, the “Refreshing Fujian: Starting Point of the Maritime Silk Road – Showcase of Intangible Cultural Heritage”, presented by the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and the People’s Government of Fujian Province, was inaugurated on 2 February, at the Mount Fortress Garden. The opening ceremony was officiated by the Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, Zheng Xincong; the Vice Governor of the People’s Government of Fujian Province, Jiang Erxiong; the Chief of Office of the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, Ho Ioc San, representing the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government; the Vice-Chairman of the Culture, History and Study Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the President of the Administrative Committee of the Macao Foundation, and the President of the Federation of Associations of Cultural Sectors of Macau, Wu Zhiliang; the Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the President of the Fukien Natives General Association of Macao, Chan Meng Kam; the President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, Leong Wai Man; the Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, Lawrence Ho; the Deputy Director of the General Office of the People’s Government of Fujian Province, Fan Qinghong; and the 2nd Class Inspector of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Fujian Province, Zhang Lifeng; and was also attended by a number of guests from the cultural sector of Fujian Province and Macao. During the ceremony, puppetry and martial art performances with Fujian characteristics were held, creating a lively atmosphere.

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and MGM jointly organize the “Macao Welcomes You” Training Programs for International Guests to provide online and offline training opportunities. Exhibition on French Impressionism opens at UM, offering visual feast to audience
The opening ceremony of the exhibition ‘With The Sunshine, Across The Sea: From French Impressionism to Landscape Paintings of Macao’ was held at the exhibition hall of the University of Macau (UM) Museum of Art today (2 February). The exhibition showcases nearly 130 masterpieces by Théodore Géricault, Claude Monet, and Gustave Courbet, attracting many UM students and faculty, as well as people from different sectors of the community to enjoy the visual feast.

The Macao Polytechnic University “Nursing Assistant Training Course” is now open for registration
In order to help Macao’s health care industry train professionals and respond to social and institutional development needs, the Centre for Continuing Education of the Macao Polytechnic University will launch the second "Nursing Assistant Training Course" this year to continue to provide training for those who are interested in joining the health care profession. The course has received support from the Health Bureau of the Macao SAR Government. The briefing session was held recently, provided an in-depth understanding of the course objectives, teaching arrangements, etc., and attracted more than one hundred attendees who are from the industry or are interested to enrol in the course.

Macao Polytechnic University Students Won the Championship in the 2023 Global Management Challenge Macao Regional Competition
The final round of the 2023 Global Management Challenge “Bank of China Trophy” organized by the Macao Management Association was held on January 19th. A total of 106 teams participated in the Macao regional competition. The team named "Earnnnnmoney," composed of students from the Master of Business Administration programme at Macao Polytechnic University and supervised by Associate Professor Hsiao Yu Ling, won the championship. They will represent Macao in the international finals to be held in New Delhi, India, where they will compete against elite participants from around the world for the prestigious global championship.

[Expanding 1+4 Industries in the Netherlands] IPIM Attends the UFI Global CEO Summit to Present Opportunities Arising from Macao’s MICE Industry
In order to present a series of opportunities arising from Macao’s MICE industries and the synergy of “Multi-venue Events” in Macao and Hengqin, representatives of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) attended the “2024 Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) Global CEO Summit” (“UFI Global CEO Summit”) held from 31 January to 2 February. During the event, IPIM President Vincent U exchanged views with UFI’s new leaders including Managing Director & CEO of UFI Kai Hattendorf and global event organisers, exhibition venue managers, as well as the sector’s leading figures, on the latest market developments, especially co-operation opportunities in Pacific Asia and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. In addition, he also had discussion on the arrangement for UFI exhibition venue training programme scheduled for this year, which is introduced in Macao for the first time.
