Macau New Neighbourhood car park open for viewing from 7 April
As more and more households are moving into Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) in Hengqin, the residential project’s car park will be open for viewing from 7 April. The public can visit by entering through Fengchui Luodai Lu (the road adjacent to Hengqin School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School near Tower 16) to learn more. The date of sale of the parking spaces will be announced in due course.

Macao Arts Festival adds two more performances and offers 30% flash-sale discounts
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the 34th Macao Arts Festival will run from 3 May to 7 June, one additional performance of the Grand Opening: Jungle Book reimagined by Akram Khan and of the circus theatre production Duck Pond by Circa were added, and the ‘Wondrous Encounters Flash Sale Offer’ will also be launched, offering a 30% discount off on tickets for specific programmes from 7 to 19 April. Tickets are limited and the public is advised to purchase their tickets as soon as possible.

Commemorative Postmark Cancellation Service of “10th Anniversary of a Holistic Approach to National Security”

April is a Contribution Month, FSS Encourages the Use of Online Payment Methods

For the Social Security System, April is the contribution month for the first quarter of 2024. The Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) has launched the "Make the Social Security Fund’s Payments" service on the "Business & Associations Platform" and "Macao One Account". Both the employers and arbitrary system beneficiaries can make payments online easily and conveniently.

Beware of fake “Union Pay” phishing texts: Guard against credit card information theft

On the 31st of March 2024, the Judiciary Police (PJ) received reports from more than ten residents who claimed to have received text messages sent under the guise of the electronic payment platform "Union Pay." These messages alleged that their loyalty points were about to expire and prompted the recipients to click on the link embedded in the message. The link directed them to a counterfeit website, where they could purportedly exchange points for gifts at a discounted price. Through this scheme, the fraudsters were able to harvest the victims' personal and credit card information. After the victims entered a one-time verification code, their credit card information was stolen, and they incurred losses ranging from thousands to tens of thousands of dollars. As the scammers in the cases above had technically altered the sender ID of the phishing text messages to match the official Union Pay number, the victims mistakenly believed that the fraudulent messages were officially sent by "Union Pay".
