The 10th Global Tourism Economy Forum · Macao 2023 (GTEF or the “Forum”) achieved fruitful results after a series of innovative and inspiring high-quality exchanges and discussions, including keynote speeches, panel sessions, a special interview, a fireside chat, case sharing and business matching, over three days. The 10th GTEF culminated in success today (22 September), demonstrating once again Macao’s comprehensive strengths in hosting conventions as an international exchange platform while reinforcing its status as a world centre of tourism and leisure.


UM, Supreme People’s Court jointly establish Centre for Judicial and Legal Studies of China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries

The University of Macau (UM) and the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China today (22 September) held the agreement signing and inauguration ceremony for the Centre for Judicial and Legal Studies of China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries jointly established by both parties. The two parties also exchanged views on the current status and prospects of judicial exchanges between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, as well as on judicial and legal exchanges and cooperation between mainland China and Macao, with a view to strengthening cooperation.

The 10th Global Tourism Economy Forum • Macao 2023 (GTEF or the “Forum”) continued today (22 September) for the third day at the Galaxy International Convention Center. In the context of the United Nation’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the 10th GTEF featured a series of enlightening discussion and exchange sessions. Distinguished speakers shed light on the sustainable development of the tourism and related industries in face of the new prospects.



UM, National Judges College jointly offer training programme for Chinese senior judges

In response to the country’s need to cultivate foreign-related legal talent, the University of Macau (UM) and the National Judges College jointly offer a training programme for Chinese senior judges. The opening ceremony for this year’s programme was held today (22 September).


CE meets with UNWTO’s Secretary-General to strengthen tourism cooperation

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Mr Zurab Pololikashvili. They discussed enhancing the quality of Macao’s tourism industry and upgrading it, and expansion of its sources of international tourists. They also exchanged opinions on topics such as training of professional talent.


Cultural Affairs Bureau organises Macao Craft Market in the Greater Bay Area Macao’s cultural and creative brands displayed in Foshan

Co-organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) of the Macao SAR Government and Foshan Lingnan Tiandi, the “Macao Craft Market @ Foshan Lingnan Tiandi” is held from 22 to 24 September at Foshan Lingnan Tiandi, featuring 50 cultural and creative brands from Macao and Mainland China as well as a number of music performances. All are welcome to participate.
