CE: Macao to strengthen exchanges, cooperation with Zhejiang on talent training and healthcare

As part of his visit to Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, to attend the opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games, the Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, met with the Secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Mr Yi Lianhong, and also visited local higher education institutions, with the aim of strengthening cooperation in talent training, higher education and healthcare, in order to support the appropriate economic diversification of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR).


Over 400,000 Visitors Are Expected in Macao’s MICE Events from September to December

According to the data of “One-stop” Service for MICE Bidding and Support provided by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), 40 upcoming MICE events will be staged during the period from September to December. These events, covering such fields as finance, big health, science and technology, tourism, sports, are expected to attract more than 400,000 attendees.


The Financial Intelligence Office of Macao visited the Guangdong Branch of the People's Bank of China

To promote the establishment of an effective financial risk prevention and control mechanism between Guangdong and Macao and the strengthening of risk management and preventive work in key areas as set out in the “Opinions on Financial Support for the Development of the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Cooperation Zone in Hengqin”, representatives of the Financial Intelligence Office (GIF) visited the Anti-Money Laundering unit of the Guangdong Branch of the People's Bank of China (PBOC) in Guangzhou on 25 September 2023.



IFTM and the UNESCO Office in Bangkok signs an agreement to strengthen their partnership in promoting world heritage conservation and education

The Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Office in Bangkok have signed an agreement to strengthen their partnership in promoting world heritage conservation and education. Chief of Culture Unit of UNESCO Bangkok office Dr. Feng Jing and IFTM President Dr. Fanny Vong were present in a virtual ceremony on 15 September 2023.

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, today said he shared the pride and joy of the Macao public following Ms Li Yi having won the first gold medal for Macao in the 19th Asian Games, during the Changquan Women's Finals.
