Tickets for 35th Macao International Music Festival on sale from Sunday Tickets for the programmes of “Joe Hisaishi 360” series on sale through registration and random draw

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 35th Macao International Music Festival (MIMF) will be held from 30 September to 30 October. Tickets will be available through the Macau Ticketing Network from 10am on 3 September (Sunday). In order to allow more members of the public to enjoy the programmes of the “Joe Hisaishi 360” series, tickets will be open for sale through registration and random draw. Seating for the programmes will be allocated randomly by computer ballot; interested parties must register through the system of the Macau Ticketing Network (www.macauticket.com/JoeHisaishi360) from 3pm on 3 September to 8pm on 6 September. All registrants have an equal chance of being selected, so there is no need to rush to register.

School Opening to be Postponed due to the Impact of Tropical Cyclone “Saola”

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, Tropical Cyclone " Saola" is gradually approaching Macao and there is a chance that typhoon signal No. 3 will be hoisted on September 1. In addition, there will be astronomical tides and superimposed storm surges in the next few days. The impact of " Saola "on Macao will gradually become great. After considering students’ safety to be a priority, the DSEDJ has discussed with Meteorological Department, the education sector and schools on school opening. Since there is no exam on September 1, the impact on teaching is minimum, the DSEDJ announces that the opening date of non-higher education schools be postponed to September 4 or later. Under the premise of ensuring students’ safety, schools agree with the new arrangements.

Airport conducts fuel farm exercise
Macau International Airport carried out the “Fire in the Fuel Farm Exercise 2023” in today’s afternoon to simulate the fire incident in the fuel farm tank. All participating entities cooperated closely with each other in accordance with the airport emergency plan to resolve the crisis. The exercise was deemed a success.
