The 44th Macao Green Week – “Passing on the love of nature to build a beautiful city together”
Organised by the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM), the 44th Macao Green Week will take place between 15 and 23 March on the same theme “Passing on the love of nature to build a beautiful city together”. During the Green Week, a number of guided eco-tours and experience activities will be held to introduce Macao’s greening development, ecological resources and conservation status. The public will be guided to take care of the tree saplings planted during past Green Weeks, so that they can witness the growth of the tree saplings and jointly cherish natural ecological resources. Furthermore, IAM will continue to organise eco-tours in Hengqin to provide the public with more opportunities to get close to nature.

Macao and General Administration of Customs of China sign agreement of cooperation to strengthen cooperation on animal health and food safety
Cheong Weng Chon, Secretary for Administration and Justice, met with Wang Lingjun, Vice Minister of the General Administration of Customs of China, and carried out review and conclusion of the work relevant to support of export of goods in Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, tiered administration policies, import and export inspection and quarantine between Hengqin and Macao, etc. They also conducted in-depth exchange in regards to the active promotion of connection of regulations and interface of legal systems in Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin in the future, expanding the types of food produced in Macao imported to the Mainland, joint training of food safety personnel and strengthening information exchange.

Macao’s overall public security situation remains stable: Secretary for Security
The Secretary for Security, Mr Wong Sio Chak, today stated that social order in Macao is stable overall. Incidences recorded in 2024 of respectively serious violent crime, drug-related crime, gambling-related crime, theft, robbery, and crimes that affected people’s livelihoods, were still significantly lower compared to 2019.
