New Dragon Inn in the 33rd Macao Arts Festival cancelled due to illness of protagonist
Due to illness, the protagonist of the performance New Dragon Inn, integrated in the 33rd Macao Arts Festival, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), will not be able to travel to Macao, and the performance has therefore been cancelled. IC apologises for the inconvenience caused.

Booking services for IAM’s green facilities added to “Macao One Account”

Eight green facilities under the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) can be booked via “Macao One Account” starting from 4 May, making it more convenient for the public to use the booking services for venues and facilities of different governmental departments via the platform.

IFTM students exploring packaged food souvenir concepts for MBox
Bachelor of Science in Tourism Business Management students from the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies worked on an industrial project to help MBox, a company that specialises in smart retail technologies, to develop concepts for packaged food souvenirs. With the guidance of the course leader, Dr. Fernando Lourenço, students initially evaluated the overall location of the 185 MBox smart vending machines located across Macao to determine the best channels for selling souvenirs.

Adjustment to the Opening Hours and Duration of the Sessions of the Exhibition of Virtual Reality at the Ruins of St. Paul’s
In order to further improve the public’s visiting experience of the exhibition “Visiting the Ruins of St. Paul’s in Space and Time – Exhibition of Virtual Reality at the Ruins of St. Paul’s”, the respective opening hours will be adjusted to 10am to 6pm daily from 5 May (Friday) onwards and the duration of each session will be extended to 30 minutes. The public may purchase tickets online, or on-site, in order to enjoy a brand-new digital cultural tourism experience based on this Macao World Heritage site.

Wages of construction workers and prices of construction materials for the 1st quarter of 2023
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the average daily wage of construction workers decreased by 0.8% quarter-to-quarter to MOP792 in the first quarter of 2023. The average daily wage of local workers (MOP989) rose by 1.5%, while that of non-resident workers (MOP700) dropped by 3.0%.
