Cultural Affairs Bureau conducts regular structural monitoring and maintenance of the former Mater Dei Church Monument and VR exhibition closed to the public on 25 April

The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) will conduct regular weeding and inspection of the bronze statues of the former Mater Dei Church from 6am to 6pm on 25 April. In order to ensure public safety and meet the needs for maintenance, barricades will be temporarily placed in the forecourt and staircase of the former Mater Dei Church from 6pm on 24 April, separating the intervention area from the public.


CE to visit Portugal, Luxembourg, and Belgium

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, is to visit Portugal from 18 to 22 April, leading a Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government delegation and a Macao entrepreneur delegation. The MSAR Government delegation will then go on to visit other places in Europe: Luxembourg, and Brussels in Belgium, before returning to Macao on 27 April.


WTT Champions Macao 2023 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group to kick off tomorrow

WTT Champions Macao 2023 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group, organized by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, World Table Tennis (WTT) and Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), and co-organized by the Macau Table Tennis General Association, will be held at Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion from 17 to 23 April 2023. The tournament features 32 male and 32 female world’s leading players playing in men's singles and women's singles. Chinese national team players such as Fan Zhendong, Ma Long, Wang Chuqin, Sun Yingsha, Chen Meng and Wang Manyu arrived in the city today to prepare for the upcoming matches.

Draw held for WTT Champions Macao 2023 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group

WTT Champions Macao 2023 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group, organized by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, World Table Tennis (WTT) and Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), and co-organized by the Macau Table Tennis General Association, will be held at Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion from 17 to 23 April 2023. The draw ceremony was held today and was attended by: Pun Weng Kun, President of the Sports Bureau; Philip Cheng, Director of Galaxy Entertainment Group; and players Truls Möregårdh from Sweden and Bernadette Szőcs from Romania.


CE: National security key to harmonious development of Macao

National security is an important support element for the harmonious development of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR), and for the dissemination of multiculturalism in the city, said today the Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, at the opening ceremony of the National Security Education Exhibition 2023.



CE: April visit to Portugal to jointly promote investment opportunities in Macao and in Hengqin Cooperation Zone

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, told members of the Legislative Assembly that the Government had organised a trade delegation – including representatives from the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Cooperation Zone in Hengqin – to visit Portugal by the end of April, with an aim was to promote Macao overseas, and offer insights regarding the latest investment opportunities available in the Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.
