Tourism Hotline remains in service round the clock

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has notified Macao residents in other destinations and visitors in Macao about the typhoon signal No. 8 in effect by mobile text message, calling for their kind attention to the transport arrangements during the typhoon. Declaration of immediate prevention stage

According to the assessment of the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau, the Typhoon Signal No.8 is issued at 16H30 on 8 October 2023 under the impact of the Tropical Cyclone “Koinu”. In accordance with the Chief Executive Dispatch, pursuant to Article 8, Item 1 of Article 9, and Sub-item 7 of Item 1 of Article 11 of Law No. 11/2020 (Civil Protection Law), in order to safeguard the life and property of citizens, the Macao Special Administrative Region enters into the immediate prevention stage as of 16H30 on 8 October 2023.
