27th MIF’s Partner Province Zhejian Introduce Nearly 30 Well-known Brands

The “27th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair” (27th MIF) has invited Zhejiang province as its “partner province” to take part in the events. Zhejiang province will organise the participation of nearly 30 well-known local enterprises in MIF in Macao. Two pavilions will be set up to showcase Zhejian-themed images and a number of local products, allowing visitors to have an all-round experience of the charm of Zhejiang province.

GIF participated in the virtual “Hong Kong-Macao AML/CFT Experience Sharing Meeting”

The Financial Intelligence Office (GIF) and the Hong Kong Joint Financial Intelligence Unit (HKJFIU) participated in the virtual “Hong Kong-Macao AML/CFT Experience Sharing Meeting” on 14th October 2022. The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the AML cooperation mechanism between Hong Kong and Macao. Topics for discussion mainly focused on the latest revision of AML/CFT legal framework in Hong Kong and Macao, the overview of money laundering and terrorist financing risk assessment, recent trends of suspicious transactions with cross border nature and case sharing, etc.

The Consumer Council continues to conduct price survey on various kinds of products to enhance price transparency and survey result reveals price differences in different retail outlets. Consumers are suggested to use the data published by the Council for price comparison.


Over 400 experts from around the world join UM’s biomedical sciences symposium

The Eighth Macau Symposium on Biomedical Sciences, organised by the University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), kicked off today (14 October) at the university. A two-day hybrid event that involves both in-person and virtual elements, the symposium features 35 talks on cutting-edge research and innovative technology in biomedical sciences and has attracted over 400 biomedical experts, researchers, and students from around the world.


IPIM leads MICE guests to local businesses Vitalising community economy of Macao

To make full use of the "MICE + Tourism" collaboration, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) has continued to organise MICE business guests to visit small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the local community in recent years. From 2021 to September 2022, IPIM has brought nearly 8,000 MICE guests into various communities of Macao for sightseeing and consumption.

The “27th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair” (27th MIF) will highlight key industries such as “big health”, high-tech, and cultural and creative industries with “exhibitions within exhibitions”. Compared with the previous edition, this year’s MIF will involve a more diverse range of industries and is expected to further enhance the experience of participating enterprises, realise the synergistic effects of “industry + MICE” collaboration, support the development of the four key industries and promote Macao’s appropriate economic diversification.
