Results of property management, security, cleaning, advertising and conference & exhibition organising services survey 2022

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that a total of 613 establishments were engaged in Property Management (228 establishments, up by 2 year-on-year), Security (61 establishments, unchanged) and Cleaning Services (324 establishments, up by 21) in 2022. Total number of persons engaged dropped by 754 year-on-year to 28,222.


Monetary and financial statistics – August 2023

According to statistics released today (6 October) by the Monetary Authority of Macao, broad money supply retreated in August. Meanwhile, both resident deposits and loans decreased from a month earlier.




UM’s research projects receive grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China

The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) recently announced the result of grant applications for 2023. Researchers at the University of Macau (UM) received grants for their research projects in various fields, including materials science, financial technology, nanomedicine, Chinese medicine, integrated circuits, environmental engineering, and economics. Among the applications submitted by UM, one project received a grant from the Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Hong Kong and Macao) and 11 from the Young Scientists Fund. Among the applications submitted by the Zhuhai UM Science & Technology Research Institute (ZUMRI), three projects received grants from NSFC’s General Program and two from the Young Scientists Fund.


Commemorative postmark cancellation service of “Open Day of Government Headquarters of the MSAR”

To celebrate the Open Day of Government Headquarters of the MSAR, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at Avenida Panorâmica do Lago Nam Van, from 09:00 to 18:00 on 21st and 22nd October 2023, to provide the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “Open Day of Government Headquarters of the MSAR”.


Commemorative postmark cancellation service of “World Post Day – UPU”

To celebrate the World Post Day instituted by the Universal Postal Union, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at the Philatelic Shops of the General Post Office and the Communications Museum on 9th October 2023, to provide commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “World Post Day - UPU”. Opening hours are as follows:
