Online Book Shop of the Cultural Affairs Bureau launches annual promotion Exquisite gifts for book purchases and 10% off on selected items

The Online Book Shop launched by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) has been well received by local and overseas readers since its establishment. In appreciation of readers’ support, an annual promotion will be launched from 1 to 31 October. Readers may receive, by each transaction, a set of exquisite Jao Tsung-I Academy bookmarks for any book purchase on the Online Book Shop during the abovementioned period. The gifts are available while stocks last. In addition, readers may enjoy a 10% off on a variety of new books and selected publications, as well as 50% and 10% off on back issues and recent issues of Review of Culture, respectively.


MGTO actively prepares for welcoming visitors on National Day Holiday

DSI issues the Certificate of Association and Foundation by electronic means

The Identification Services Bureau (DSI) continuously improves online services related to the registration of association and foundation. Starting from 28th September 2022, citizens who lodge the application for the Certificate of Existence of Registration Record of an association or foundation through the “Macao One Account” can choose to receive the certificate in electronic form, which allows citizens to go through the entire application procedures online without leaving home.


Leveraging preferential measures for Macao, the International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum arranged presentations to promote the core advantages of Macao MICE industry

This year’s International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum – the 13th IIICF – has added presentations to its agenda to promote Macao’s MICE industry. Two presentation sessions were held – one online and one offline – attracting the participation of more than 60 representatives from large infrastructure enterprises in the Mainland and the MICE industry chain in Macao. Through the presentations, IIICF organisers hoped to create a cross-sectorial platform for the MICE industry, enhancing the “industries + MICE” collaboration by leveraging various preferential measures for Macao.

“The 14th Higher Education International Conference” Call for Papers until October 24

The Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) and the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) are jointly organising “The 14th Higher Education International Conference on Online Teaching and Sustainable Quality Assurance: Challenges and Perspectives”, with the call for papers until October 24th. Experts and scholars of higher education in Macao and around the world are cordially invited to participate and publish papers in related fields. The conference aims to continuously enhance the quality of teaching and learning in higher education as well as to strengthen the cooperation between Macao and overseas higher education institutions, and explores the challenges and perspectives of sustainable online teaching and quality assurance in higher education in the post-pandemic era.


Release of Macao SAR Balance of Payments (Preliminary Estimate for 2021)

The Monetary Authority of Macao (AMCM) releases today the preliminary balance of payments (BOP) statistics of Macao SAR for the reference year 2021. The BOP, which comprises the current account, the capital account and the financial account, is a statistical statement that summarises external transactions of an economy with the rest of the world.




MGTO holds Tray Race to celebrate World Tourism Day

The World Tourism Day is designated on 27 September annually. As a long-held tradition, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) welcomed the Lucky Tourist this morning and organized the Tray Race for members of the trade in the afternoon to celebrate this annual global tourism occasion with residents and visitors in Macao.
