PSP to Launch Self-Service Renewal of “Authorization to Stay as Worker”
In response to the SAR Government’s policy of establishing a digital government and promoting public electronic services, the Public Security Police Force has been developing sustainably the external electronic services to facilitate the public. Last year, on 14 March, our Force introduced the new style of “Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card” (hereinafter referred to as “Non-resident Worker’s Card”) and took advantages of this Card’s features to enhance the relevant procedures, so as to provide more convenient administrative services for employers and employees, and therefore, we have achieved the staged targets of electronic service scheme for non-resident workers. To further enhance our service, our Force is going to launch the self-service renewal of “Authorization to Stay as Worker” in the next stage under the support of the Public Security Forces Affairs Bureau; eligible non-residents may complete the renewal formalities via our self-service kiosks without being required to come to the service counters in person.

UM joins other universities and institutes in China and Portuguese-speaking countries to build ocean research alliance
The inauguration ceremony of the China-Portuguese Speaking Countries Ocean Research Alliance initiated by the University of Macau (UM) and the first meeting of the alliance’s executive council was held today (9 September) online. Over 70 representatives of member universities and institutes of the alliance in China and Portuguese-speaking countries joined the ceremony. The alliance aims to bring together the research strengths and resources of its members in the field of ocean science and promote exchange and cooperation in related fields between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

Renovation works on the interior of the Macanese Living Museum of Taipa Houses are completed
The renovation works on the interior of the Macanese Living Museum of Taipa Houses, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), have been completed recently. The work mainly includes the repair and renovation of interior walls, doors and windows, and pavements, in order to preserve Macao’s architectural heritage and improve the atmosphere of the Museum.

Macao Museum of Art invites artist Zhao Zhao to hold various artistic activities in Macao
Organised by the Macao Museum of Art (MAM), under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the exhibition “Zhao Zhao: A Long Day” is currently held on the first and second floors of MAM. In order to enhance the public’ understanding of the exhibition, MAM has invited artist Zhao Zhao and curator Cui Cancan to Macao to hold a series of activities from 16 to 17 September, including a vernissage, a sharing session and an online artist’s tour, presenting innovative ideas in contemporary art.
