Ongoing coordination between the Health Bureau and the IAS in providing outreach testing services at home

In response to the epidemic prevention and control measures,the Health Bureau and the Social Welfare Bureau (hereafter referred to as IAS) have coordinated with Macau Red Cross to provide outreach nucleic acid testing services to people with specific difficulties in the community. From 20thJune to 26thJuly, a total of 2,885 people in need of special assistance have received such services.


New positive cases within 24 hours yesterday (27 July)

According to the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre, the tally of new positive cases reported in Macao within 24 hours yesterday (27 July) includes: 3 cases in the Red Code zones and medical observation hotels, which were detected under management and control; 0 case of close contacts, 0 case in the NAT drive for people in key areas/ key groups, and 0 case among other population groups. In other words, no cases were found in the community.

Social Security Fund’s Contribution Deadline to be Extended to August 31 due to Epidemic

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) has extended the deadline for payment of contributions for the second quarter’s arbitrary system contributions, long-term employees’ contributions, employment fee for non-resident workers, and casual workers’ contributions (May and June) to August 31.



161,992 samples collected within the last 24 hours among persons in key areas, key groups and those leaving home for work; results are negative

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that with regard to the NAT drive for persons in key areas, key groups, and those who need to leave home for work, a total of 161,992 samples have been collected within the last 24 hours (27 July), their results are negative. As of 08:00 this morning (27 July), a cumulative total of 841,365 samples have been collected since 24 July.

Macao’s Base Rate of the Discount Window Raised to 2.75%

The Monetary Authority of Macao (AMCM) raised the Base Rate of the Discount Window today (28 July 2022) by 75 basis points to 2.75%.

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that, to identify and treat any potential infected persons who may still be lurking in the local community as early as possible, a one-time NAT drive will be launched in the key areas in which most recent cases were found; therefore, people in the following key areas are subject to a nucleic acid test on either 28 July (Thursday) or 29 July (Friday).
