CE bolsters ties with overseas Chinese community during Brussels visit

While in Belgium, the Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, attended in the afternoon local time on Tuesday (25 April) a reception of welcome hosted in the capital Brussels by leaders of the overseas Chinese community in Belgium. Mr Ho said he hoped the community’s leaders would strengthen ties with Macao businesses for mutual economic benefit.


33rd Macao Arts Festival kicks off this Friday Tickets for some programmes are still available

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 33rd Macao Arts Festival (MAF) will be launched this Friday (28 April), with the opening ceremony to be held at 7:40pm on the same day in the lobby of the Macao Cultural Centre, followed by the grand opening programme Rite of Spring. A limited number of tickets for some MAF programmes is still available for purchase at the Macau Ticketing Network, and tickets for the Multimedia Full-length Cantonese Opera Bonds of Hato and On Substance of Time to be staged at the Sands Theatre are also on sale through Cotai Ticketing.


Active preparation – MGTO adopts diverse measures to welcome 1st May

The Labor Day holiday (29 April – 3 May) of the Mainland will soon start from this Saturday, the first 1st May Labor Day holiday Macao welcomes after travel restrictions were lifted. Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) are actively getting prepared in a variety of ways, including a promotional campaign towards visitors and the travel trade to provide practical information, raise awareness through dissemination as well as conduct patrols for supervision. The Office also maintains close communication with Mainland tourism authorities to safeguard tourism service quality and reinforce Macao’s destination image.



Registration Opening for “Computer Security Basic Training Course (2023)”

In order to raise the awareness of computer security and strengthen the ability to identify computer risks for workers from corporate offices in Macao,the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT)will organize three classes for the “Computer Security Basic Training Course (2023)”, which will take place on 7th, 14th and 21st of June, 2023 (19:00 – 22:00) respectively at the Auditorium of Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre. The course will introduce basic theory and knowledge of computer security, potential threats in the world of Internet, and different types of attack and defense strategies. The course is free and 50 seats are available for each class.




UM delegation visits top universities in Singapore to forge collaborations on training of innovative talent

A delegation from the University of Macau (UM), led by Rector Yonghua Song and Vice Rector Rui Martins, recently visited three top universities in Singapore to foster exchanges and cooperation in teaching and research and promote the training of innovative talent with global competitiveness, so as to expand UM’s international network and enhance its degree of internationalisation.



Tap Siac Craft Market in spring continues to be held from Thursday to Sunday

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the Tap Siac Craft Market in spring will continue to be held from Thursday to Sunday (27 to 30 April) at Tap Siac Square, featuring a new group of cultural and creative brands. The public is welcome to participate in the cultural and creative event in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
