Newly-added key districts for nucleic acid testing (NAT) on 28 July or 29 July

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that, in response to the need for nucleic acid testing of people in key areas, key groups and those leaving home for work, starting from tomorrow (28 July), the service hours of the following NAT stations will be adjusted to 08:00-22:00; this involves 6 general stations and 1 caring station:

Government sets up committee to oversee public tender for gaming concessions

The Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government today set up a committee, with nine members, to oversee gaming concessions public tender.


IAM, animal protection associations and private veterinarians jointly provide veterinary support for Red Code Zones

Since the outbreak of this wave of epidemic, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has continued to provide pet temporary care services for members of the public who are required to undergo medical observation or treatment. From June 19, there are accumulatively 167 animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, hedgehogs, birds and tortoises, which have received IAM’s temporary care. Moreover, after coordination and communication with the animal protection associations and private veterinarians in Macao, IAM has previously established a support mechanism of transfer, veterinary support and treatment services for the households in the Red Code Zones that are unable to bring their pets out to seek treatment.


IAM steps up in-depth cleaning and disinfection of markets and hawker areas

As Macao has entered the consolidation period, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) continues to step up cleaning and disinfection of markets and hawker areas. In addition to the regular cleaning and disinfection of markets twice a day, special teams are also arranged to carry out in-depth cleaning and disinfection of hawker areas with high people flow. Meanwhile, IAM will continue to assess the people flow in various markets and hawker areas, and adopt a number of crowd control measures to reduce crowd gatherings and consolidate the results of pandemic prevention.


Persistent efforts in epidemic prevention during consolidation period, IAM increases manpower to strengthen cleaning and disinfection of streets and facilities

With the epidemic prevention work entering the consolidation period, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) continuously coordinates with the outsourced company to increase the manpower for stepping up the cleaning and disinfection of the public streets and public facilities all over Macao. In addition, IAM appeals to all members of the public in Macao to jointly maintain environmental hygiene in the city and be persistent in epidemic control and prevention, so as to reduce the risk of the spread of virus with concerted effort.


90,323 samples collected as of 15:00 among persons in key areas, key groups and those leaving home for work; 25,455 of collected samples have been tested and returned as negative

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that with regard to the NAT drive for persons in key areas, key groups, and those who need to leave home for work, a total of 90,323 samples have been collected as of 15:00 today (27 July); among them, 25,455 samples have been analysed, and their results are negative. A cumulative total of 766,948 samples have been collected since 24 July.
