Subscription period for the Year of the Rabbit commemorative coins and Lunar Year Commemorative Coin Collector Box (2020-2031) ends this Friday
The online subscription period for the 2023 Year of the Rabbit commemorative coins and Lunar Year Commemorative Coin Collector Box (2020-2031) will end at 6:00pm on 2 September 2022 (Friday). AMCM would like to remind Macao residents who are interested in subscribing for the said coins and collector box to complete the online subscription process before the mentioned deadline.

Central Government to issue 3-billion renminbi bonds in Macao

Transport and communications statistics for July 2022
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that licensed motor vehicles in Macao totalled 247,333 as at end-July 2022, up by 0.8% year-on-year; light automobiles (113,199) and heavy motorcycles (106,517) increased by 0.8% and 2.2% respectively. Owing to the temporary suspension of vehicle registration services in July amid the pandemic of novel coronavirus pneumonia, new registration of motor vehicles declined by 75.8% year-on-year to 255 (including 55 electric vehicles). There were 153 heavy motorcycles (25 of them were electric) and 96 light automobiles (27 of them were electric), representing respective decreases of 73.3% and 78.4%. In the first seven months of 2022, new registration of motor vehicles dropped by 31.0% year-on-year to 5,210. Number of traffic accidents in July fell by 59.8% year-on-year to 504, with 192 persons injured. From January to July 2022, there were 6,309 traffic accidents, which resulted in 5 deaths and 2,238 injuries.

Package tours and hotel occupancy rate for July 2022
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that a total of 115 hotel establishments offered accommodation services to the public in July 2022; number of available guest rooms went down by 10.9% year-on-year to 32,000. Data on hotel establishments designated for medical observation and self-health monitoring were excluded in the compilation of the results. The average occupancy rate of guest rooms in July dropped by 25.6 percentage points year-on-year to 38.1% owing to the lingering impacts of the coronavirus pandemic; the rate for 5-star hotels was 21.4%, a decrease of 42.2 percentage points year-on-year.
