CE meets with representatives of six gaming concessionaires

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, today met at Government Headquarters with representatives of the six companies awarded new gaming concessions. Mr Ho emphasised that all concessionaires must fulfil the requirements of the Government in terms of ensuring local employment, exploring overseas customer markets, and developing non-gaming projects, so that the companies jointly contribute to Macao’s adequate economic diversification and sustainable development, and to the well-being of Macao people.


MSAR signs gaming concession contracts with six awardees

The Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Gazette published a series of Executive Orders today, to announce the final results of the public tender for new gaming concessions. The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, representing the Macao Special Administrative Region, signed a gaming concession contract with each of the six enterprises respectively awarded a gaming concession.


Lunar Year of the Rabbit Greeting Card of CTT

As Chinese New Year is approaching, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will launch a Lunar Year of the Rabbit greeting card on 28th December 2022, which will be available for sale at the General Post Office and all post offices. With a distinctive festive design, this greeting card is an excellent way of delivering warm wishes and festive vibes to relatives and friends.


Arrangements for new-born babies and first-time applicants for Macao SAR Resident Identity Card to register for Third Round Anti-epidemic Electronic Consumption Benefit Scheme

The “Third Round Anti-epidemic Electronic Consumption Benefit Scheme” and the “Living Subsidy Scheme to Alleviate Negative Impact Caused by the Epidemic in 2022 to Macao SAR Residents” were respectively launched in May and October 2022. The last registration day of both of the above-mentioned schemes is on 13th January 2023 and their last collection date of “consumption card” is on 17th January 2023. In order to ensure the issuance of resident identity card to new-born babies and other first-time applicants for the Macao SAR Resident Identity Card for them to collect the “consumption card” on or before 17th January 2023, citizens have to complete the formalities and submitted all required documents before 10th January 2023, and pay the extra fees for expediting the formalities that may be incurred.


IFTM students researching and proposing ideas for the Red Market

Students in the IFTM Tourism Retail and Marketing Management Programme worked on an industrial project to help the Red Market and the Macao Fishmongers Association Red Market Branch to get practical experience. The Red Market was constructed in 1936 with a distinctive Art Deco style and is now a government-protected architectural heritage. Currently, the Red Market is undergoing 24-month-long reconstruction and maintenance work. On March 29, 2022, a temporary market has been operating on Rua Marginal do Lam Mau. However, according to Mr Kwan Vai Meng, the association's chairman, the businesses at the new location produce just 10 to 20 percent of what they did previously and are experiencing financial loss daily.





Complimentary tickets for the spectating activity of the 2023 MGM Macao International Regatta to be distributed on Sunday

The 2023 MGM Macao International Regatta, organized by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and the Ursa Major Sailing Event Management, co-organized by the Marine and Water Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and the Macau Sailing Association, supported by Zhuhai Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau and title-sponsored by MGM, will be held from 5 to 8 January 2023. 37 teams will compete for the title of three championships.
