The DSEDJ adjusts class suspension measures for schools of non-tertiary education in the second phase of the transition period
In response to the epidemic changes, the SAR Government has been gradually adjusting epidemic prevention policy in Macao, which will enter the second phase of the transition period from 14 December. In order to achieve a balance between the needs of epidemic prevention and implementation of normal educational activities in school, the Education and Youth Development Bureau (the DSEDJ) has issued guidelines on class suspension in the second phase of the transition period to schools of non-tertiary education in Macao. Starting from tomorrow (14 December), if there are cases tested positive in school, class suspension measure will be implemented on a class basis accordingly. When the number of new confirmed cases of students in the class reaches 4 or more in a day (school day), face-to-face teaching of that class will be suspended for 5 days from that day. If there are less than 4 new confirmed cases of students in the class in a day (school day), school will not be attended by students who are confirmed cases, and the rest of the students will have class as usual.

Second phase distribution of “Anti-epidemic Kits” from 14 to 18 December
In response to changes in the epidemic situation in Macao, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre distributes free “anti-epidemic kits” to members of the public in case of emergency. According to the actual needs of different age groups and the scope of application, there are 4 categories. In the first phase, priority distribution has been arranged for the vulnerable groups in Macao from 8 December onwards, of which distribution has been coordinated by the Social Welfare Bureau and the Education and Youth Development Bureau with relevant residential institutions and educational institutions, relevant targets do not need to collect the kits by themselves.

Number of community clinics for individuals infected with COVID-19 has been increased to eight and the clinics will be put into operation starting from tomorrow
The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre (the Response and Coordination Centre) states that in response to the epidemic development, appropriate sites have been added or adjusted for community clinics for individuals infected with COVID-19 (community clinics) with ongoing efforts. Local hotels can receive guests infected with COVID-19 and close contacts from tomorrow (14 December)
As Macao will enter the second phase of the transition period tomorrow and put into effect the new measure that infected persons may undergo home isolation, local hotel establishments can receive guests infected with COVID-19 and close contacts from tomorrow (14 December) onwards.
