IAM to reopen all leisure and recreational facilities during “stabilisation period”
As Macao enters the “stabilisation period” starting from August 2, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will open all facilities, such as children’s playgrounds, outdoor fitness equipment, barbecue areas, free sports grounds and indoor activity centers. Individuals using the facilities are required to follow the guidelines on hygiene and epidemic prevention, maintain proper social distancing and take adequate personal hygiene protection measures, so as to maintain the results of epidemic prevention while gradually resuming normal recreational activities.

IAM calls on public to continue to do shopping at off-peak hours during “stabilisation period” to consolidate results of epidemic prevention
As Macao enters the “stabilisation period” of epidemic prevention, various business activities are resumed in an orderly manner. The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) calls on the public and hawkers to cooperate with various epidemic prevention measures. The public should continue to go shopping in markets and hawker areas at off-peak hours, and wear masks and maintain proper social distancing in accordance with epidemic prevention guidelines when doing shopping, so as to jointly consolidate the results of epidemic prevention. IAM will step up inspections, cleaning and disinfection, as well as publicity about epidemic prevention in various markets and hawker areas.

Health Bureau updates “Mask Wearing Requirements” and “Measures to reduce the risk of transmission in workplaces during the stabilisation period of local epidemic”
According to the Chief Executive’s Dispatch No. 139/2022, the closure of beauty salons, gyms, bars and other venues, as well as the suspension of dine-in service in food and beverage establishments, will be lifted starting from tomorrow (2 August). To cooperate with the implementation of the above measures, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces the updates of the “Mask Wearing Requirements” and the “Measures to reduce the risk of transmission in workplaces during the stabilisation period of local epidemic” by the Health Bureau. The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that with regard to the NAT drive for key groups and those who need to leave home for work, a total of 57,660 samples have been collected as of 15:00 today (2 August); among them, 18,636 samples have been analysed, and their results are negative. From yesterday to 15:00 today, a cumulative total of 269,162 samples have been collected.

Cultural facilities reopen from 2 August
The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) will resume normal operation from 2 August, reopening the cultural facilities to the public in an orderly manner. IC’s public libraries, heritage sites, reading room of the Archives of Macao, as well as the Macao Museum and the Macao Museum of Art will be open successively from 2 August. The rehearsal rooms of the Macao Cultural Centre, the Black Box Theatre and rehearsal room on the second floor of the Old Court Building, the Auditorium of the Macao Conservatory and the Dom Pedro V Theatre will be available from 3 August. The Cinematheque.Passion will process ticket refunds from 3 August and reopen screenings from 9 August.

Arrangements for PSP’s External Services from 2 August
In view that the transmission risk of the novel coronavirus has reduced substantially, public service departments resume normal operation from 2 August, while adopting certain measures in response to the epidemic prevention guidelines issued by the health authorities. To this end, all individuals should note that they have to wear a standards-compliant mask, undergo a temperature check and present a green health code when entering the Public Security Police Force (PSP) facilities, or they may be refused entry.

Application period for the Cultural Affairs Bureau’s “Scripts in Focus” and “Echo Programme” has been extended to this Friday (5 August)
In line with the SAR Government’s epidemic prevention and control measures, the deadline for applications for the “Scripts in Focus – Film Scriptwriting Advanced Programme” and the “Echo Programme · Music Composition and Lyrics Creative Camp” organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) has been extended to this Friday (5 August) at 5pm. The programmes will be rescheduled to a later date, and the exact dates will be announced later.

Health Bureau announces health services arrangement from 2 August
To cooperate with the anti-epidemic measures of the MSAR Government, starting from 2 August, all individuals who intend to enter Conde de São Januário General Hospital, Health Centres, Health Stations or other medical institutions under the Health Bureau – including staff and visitors – will not be required to present the result of rapid antigen self-test upon entry; however, they must still present a valid Macao Health Code, wear a surgical mask or a higher standard mask, undergo body temperature checking, scan the venue QR code, and comply with other anti-epidemic measures. Adjustment will be made in a timely manner according to the guidelines of CDC.

Termination of the state of immediate prevention

According to the Dispatch of the Chief Executive on 1 August 2022, in accordance with Item 1 of Article 9 of Law No. 11/2020 (Civil Protection Legal Regime), the state of immediate prevention as declared in Dispatch of the Chief Executive No. 101/2022 is terminated as of 12:00 on 2 August 2022.
