Supplementary information on “10+7” anti-epidemic measure

As earlier announced by the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre (hereinafter referred to as the “Centre”), with effect from 00:00 on 15 June 2022, individuals who meet certain conditions and enter the Macao Special Administrative Region from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the region of Taiwan or foreign places will be subject to a "10+7" anti-epidemic measure (i.e. 10 days of centralized medical observation in isolation and 7 days of self-health monitoring).

UM students win grand prize at National Structure Design Contest on Information Technology for College Students

A student team from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Macau (UM), recently received a grand prize at the Fourth National Structure Design Contest on Information Technology for College Students, after competing with more than 1,000 teams across China. It is the only team from Hong Kong and Macao to have won a prize in the competition.


IFTM online training programme in collaboration with UNWTO Capacity Building for Sustainable Tourism through Festivals and Events

The Global Centre of Tourism Education and Training of the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM), in collaboration with United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), successfully held virtually its thirteenth training programme on 24-26 May 2022 on “Capacity Building for Sustainable Tourism through Festivals and Events”.


Relaxed entry restrictions for foreign nationals who have been granted “Residence Authorization” or “Special Authorization to Stay” arriving from Mainland China to take effect from 00: 00 15 June

Taking into account the actual needs of local residents and assessing the epidemic risks and changes in relevant countries, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces, in accordance with the stipulations in paragraph 3 of the Chief Executive’s Dispatch No. 64/2022, the Health Bureau publishes Announcement No. 320/A/SS/2022 that, with effect from 00:00 on 15 June 2022, individuals who are prohibited from entry pursuant to paragraph 1 of the aforesaid Chief Executive’s Dispatch may enter into the Macao Special Administrative Region from the Mainland China without prior authorization from the health authorities, provided that they comply with other entry requirements, and are holding documentary proof(s) issued by the Public Security Police Force to persons who have been granted valid “Residence Authorization” or “Special Authorization to Stay”.


CE meets Guangdong officials, pledges intensification of bilateral ties

Macao and Guangdong will continue consolidating joint efforts and achievements regarding: pandemic prevention and control; facilitation of economic recovery and normalisation of exchanges; the deepening and broadening of the scope for cooperation; and the expediting of the establishment of the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. Such steps are in a bid to open a new chapter in terms of achieving even greater success in collaboration between the two places.
