Subsistence Team continues to support Red Code buildings and carries out source-tracing of vegetables and frozen meat food packs to monitor quality

The Subsistence Team continuously provides subsistence services for the Red Code buildings. The vegetables and frozen meat food packs delivered to the households in Red Code buildings contain fresh vegetables arrived in Macao on the day and each pack of frozen meat is sticked with the name of the supplier to facilitate source-tracing and monitoring of the food safety and quality.

IAM urges hawkers to cooperate with pandemic prevention work

In accordance with the health authorities’ pandemic prevention guidelines, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) requires hawkers in all markets and hawker areas to properly wear masks during opening hours, and reminds them that if they need to drink water, they should do so only when there are no customers around, and wear masks immediately after drinking water. Meanwhile, hawkers are not allowed to eat during the opening hours of their stalls, not only to protect their own health and safety, but also to comply with the pandemic prevention requirements. The inspection staff of IAM have been stepping up inspections, urging hawkers to abide by relevant regulations, and reduce the risk of spread of the virus with joint efforts.


Supplies delivery service of five Red Code buildings suspended today to facilitate nucleic acid tests of households

As the Health Bureau has arranged for the households in Edf. Lin Fong (Bloco 5), Edf. Vai Long (Bloco 2) and Chun Pek Garden (Phase 2) to undergo nucleic acid specimen collection this morning (14 July), the distribution of vegetables and frozen meat food packs originally scheduled for this morning has to be rescheduled to this afternoon.


8th round of Citywide NAT has ended; A cumulative total of 13 tubes of mixed samples tested positive; Concerned NAT stations and sampling time announced

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces the conclusion of the 8th round of Citywide NAT programme, which was held from 09:00 on 12 July to 18:00 on 13 July; a cumulative total of 13 tubes of mixed samples have been tested positive.

Foreign exchange reserves and nominal effective exchange rate index for the pataca – June 2022

The Monetary Authority of Macao announced today that the preliminary estimate of Macao SAR’s foreign exchange reserves amounted to MOP214.0 billion (USD26.48 billion) at the end of June 2022. The reserves decreased by 0.6% from the revised value of MOP215.4 billion (USD26.65 billion) for the previous month. Macao SAR’s foreign exchange reserves at end-June 2022 represented 11 times the currency in circulation or 85.8% of pataca M2 at end-May 2022.


New positive cases between within 24 hours yesterday (13 July)

According to update from the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre, new positive cases within 24 hours yesterday (13 July) include: 26 cases in the Red Code zones and medical observation hotels, which were detected under the management and control; 1 cases of close contacts, 1 cases in the Citywide NAT and Key Groups NAT, and 1 case among other population groups, which were found within the community.
