The Treasure of Sacred Art of St. Dominic’s Church adjusts its closing hours

In order to coordinate with the religious activities of St. Dominic’s Church and implement appropriate crowd control measures to ensure effective epidemic prevention, the Treasure of Sacred Art of St. Dominic’s Church will adjust its closing hours from 1 March this year. The Treasure of Sacred Art will be closed all day on Thursdays as well as from 4 to 13 May each year, and will close from 3pm on Saturdays as well as on the 13th and 25th of each month (unless these dates fall on a Sunday).

Lot P temporary and home swap housing project syndicated loan signing ceremony was held today. Representatives from Macau Urban Renewal Limited (MUR) and The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Macau) Limited (ICBC Macau) signed the contract for the syndicated loan to finance the construction of the project.


ID provides service to check instant information of on-the-spot swimming tickets

In order to facilitate the public to better plan their swimming schedule, the Sports Bureau (ID) announces that, starting from 28 Feb (Monday), residents can check instant information of on-the-spot tickets of swimming pools under ID’s administration through ID’s website and mobile app. This service allows the public to check how many on-the-spot tickets remained for each swimming session, making it more convenient to manage their daily agenda. ID will also set up display screen at each swimming pool for the public to check relevant information.

Consumer price index (CPI) for January 2022

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the Composite CPI for January 2022 (103.31) rose by 0.99% year-on-year. The increment was attributed to higher wages of domestic helpers, increased charges for eating out and electricity, as well as dearer prices of gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas and fruits; however, the rise was partially offset by lower rentals for dwellings and retreating prices of pork. Among the various sections of goods and services, the price indices of Household Furnishings & Services and Transport grew by 8.97% and 4.38% year-on-year respectively, whereas the index of Communication dropped by 3.05%. The CPI-A (103.16) and CPI-B (103.51) saw respective growth of 0.75% and 1.31% year-on-year.


MICE statistics for the 4th quarter of 2021

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that a total of 163 MICE events were held in Macao in the fourth quarter of 2021, an increase of 92 quarter-to-quarter; number of participants & attendees soared by 218.1% to 719,000. In comparison with the same quarter last year, MICE events rose by 13 and the number of participants & attendees swelled by 39.5%.

On March 1st, 1984, CTT acquired the Collection of Mr. Correia Nunes, which was originally as a private collection from the late Mr. Correia Nunes. This is a precious cultural heritage.

Grand Opening of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Self-Service Postal Centre

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Self-Service Postal Centre located in the Macao Frontier Post of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, will commence service with effect from 1st March 2022. Different types of self-service machines (including stamp vending machine, philatelic vending machine, DIY postcard terminal, electronic postal kiosk, “eLocker”, etc.) are set up in this Self-Service Postal Centre, to provide convenient services for citizens and tourists 24 hours a day, all year round.
