IPIM Organises Participation of Nearly 70 Macao Enterprise Representatives in the 4th China International Import Expo
The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) organised a delegation of nearly 70 representatives of Macao enterprises to leave for Shanghai today (4 November) to participate in the fourth China International Import Expo (4th CIIE). IPIM has also set up two pavilions and will hold an investor presentation session at the venue bid to give full play to Macao’s role as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs), promote Macao’s business advantages, and support local enterprises in exploring business opportunities.

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, is on a four-day visit to Shanghai and Hangzhou. Mr Ho has been invited by the Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, to attend the opening ceremony of the 4th China International Import Expo, being held in Shanghai.

UM Rector Yonghua Song receives second prize of State Scientific and Technological Progress Award
An award ceremony for winners of the 2020 State Scientific and Technological Progress Award was held today (3 November) in Beijing. Party and state leaders, including Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, Wang Huning, and Han Zheng attended the ceremony and presented the awards to the winners or their representatives. The project titled ‘Key Technologies and Applications of Demand-side Load Regulation of Power Systems with a High Proportion of New Energy Sources’, of which University of Macau (UM) Rector Yonghua Song is the first author, won a second prize of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award for the year 2020.

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym), the “Tap Siac Craft Market” will be held from 19 to 21 November and from 26 to 28 November at Tap Siac Square., counting with a total of 36 creative handicraft workshops, including 9 sessions for families. All interested parties can register for the workshops through the Tap Siac Craft Market website ( www.craftmarket.gov.mo ) from 4 November. The deadline for online registration is 5pm on 8 November. The fee for each handicraft workshop is MOP50.
