NAT drive for key area to commence at 15:30 today
The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre received a report from Zhuhai this morning (7 August) that a case tested positive for COVID-19 by nucleic acid test (NAT) has recent travel records between Macao and Zhuhai. Although the case has tested negative in the last dozen times of nucleic acid tests in Macao before 4 August, the risk of transmission in the areas where the case lives and works cannot be ruled out. Therefore, a nucleic acid testing drive will be launched for the key area where the case’s workplace is situated, so as to identify any potential infected persons who may be lurking in the local community.

IAM to organise anti-epidemic community cleaning campaign as a joint effort of government and associations to consolidate results of epidemic prevention
In order to further consolidate the resultsof epidemicprevention, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will organise a two-phaseanti-epidemic community cleaning campaign together with the health authorities and a number of associations, starting from tomorrow (8 August). It is aimed to raise the public’s concern for community cleaning andpublic hygiene protection, and to jointly build a solid front of epidemic preventionthrough a series of work including strengthened cleaning and disinfection of public streets and facilities, key hygienic screening and precautionary cleaning and disinfection ofbuildings once controlled as Red Code Zones for epidemic prevention, and arrangements for the public to clean the buildings and safeguard public hygiene.

Temporary closure of Cheoc Van Swimming Pool
Due to the low-lying and coastal location of Cheoc Van swimming pool, the pool drain is blocked and not functioning properly. As emergency inspection and repair work needs to be carried out immediately, Cheoc Van swimming pool will be temporarily closed from today until further notice. Real-time waiting information will not be announced on Special Webpage against Epidemics and TDM from 8 August
The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre states that, the waiting time at NAT stations has been greatly shortened after the number of routine NAT stations in Macao has been increased; therefore, starting from 8 August, the Special Webpage against Epidemics and Teledifusão deMacau, S. A (TDM) will stop announcing the real-time information on the number of people waiting at NAT stations.

In response to the need for COVID-19 epidemic control in Macao and as a part of the government’s anti-epidemic measures, the Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau (ISAF) has been conducting surveys on the stocks of rapid antigen test (RAT) kits and KN95 masks in community pharmacies since mid-June. Information about the stocks of these two items in community pharmacies is updated and announced every two hours through the ISAF website.

“7+3” medical observation policy for arrivals from Hong Kong SAR, the region of Taiwan or foreign places to take effect from 00:00 on 6 August
As earlier announced by the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre, with effect from 00:00 on 6 August, the “7+3” medical observation policy will be implemented for inbound travellers from Hong Kong SAR, the region of Taiwan or foreign places. Upon entry into Macao, the concerned individuals shall be subject to centralized medical observation in isolation until the 7th day from the day after the date of entry, and then exercise self-health management until the 3rd day from the day following the day of release from medical observation, and self-health monitoring until the 7th day from the day following the day of release from medical observation.
