IPIM Fosters Chengdu-Macao Closer Co-operation in Trade in Products and Services via the Macao Week
To foster Chengdu-Macao closer co-operation in trade in products and services, and enhance Macao’s role as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries (PSC), the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) has introduced even more new elements and measures in the “Macao Week in Sichuan•Chengdu”. Nearly one third of roadshow exhibitors are Macao enterprises joining the event for the first time, enriching the roadshow with more PSCs projects seminars, and newly added exhibition of professional services including finance and legal services.

Tickets for the Macao International Music Festival are available from Saturday Diverse ticketing channels available simultaneously
Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the special edition of the Macao International Music Festival, themed “Music October”, will be held from 3 to 31 October. Tickets will be on sale simultaneously through the Macau Ticketing Network outlets, telephone and online booking from 10am on 25 September (Saturday). In order to cooperate with the epidemic prevention and control measures, and to reduce crowd gathering, an online reservation system has been set up for the first day of ticket sales. Members of the public who want to purchase tickets at the outlets from 10am to 12pm on the first day of ticket sales are required to reserve their ticketing slots and outlets through the online reservation system.

“Art Macao” offers diverse visiting experiences in early autumn
The “Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2021”, themed “To Create for Well-being”, presents a total of 30 art exhibitions under different themes from July to October, including the exhibition “Selected Works by Local Artists” which promotes local contemporary art, and the “Creative City Pavilion” which displays the cultural landscapes of creative cities, providing an artistic experience for art lovers roaming around Macao in early autumn.

The Macao Chinese Orchestra 2021-22 Concert Season kicks off with the online concert “Splendid Landscapes”
The Macao Chinese Orchestra (OCHM, from the Portuguese acronym), under the auspices of Cultural Affairs Bureau, inaugurates its 2021-22 Concert Season, themed on fusion and integration, striving to create a more inclusive artistic world through traditional Chinese music, and bring concerts with a rich content. The opening concert will be broadcast online on 24 September (Friday), at 8pm, kicking off the new Concert Season officially.

After holding Macao tourism and MICE presentation seminars at the Macao Weeks in Beijing, Hangzhou, Nanjing (in Jiangsu) as well as Shanghai successively, Macao Government Tourism Office and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute once again led a travel and MICE trade delegation from Macao to organize the “Macao Week in Sichuan•Chengdu — Macao Tourism and MICE Presentation Seminar and Trade Networking Session” in Chengdu today (23 September). The seminar presented the strengths of Macao’s tourism and MICE industries and facilitated networking among industry delegates from both sides, while raising Macao’s profile as a safe and quality destination.

Results of travel agencies survey 2020
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that there were 200 travel agencies operating in 2020, a decrease of 18 year-on-year. Number of persons engaged dropped by 931 year-on-year to 3,743. Receipts and expenditure of the industry amounted to MOP 2.01 billion and MOP 2.18 billion respectively, representing a shrinkage of 75.7% and 72.0% year-on-year.

Results of survey on participation of residents in cultural activities for 2nd quarter 2021
The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) released results of Survey on Participation of Residents in Cultural Activities for the second quarter of 2021. This Survey aims to collect information on participation of individuals aged 16 and above in cultural activities in the six months prior to the date of interview. Cultural activities include going to the cinema, going to a library, visiting a museum or World Heritage site, and attending a performance or art exhibition.

DSI launched 24-hour self-service application for Certificate of Kinship
In order to continuously extend the scope of self-service application, starting from 23rd September 2021, the Identification Services Bureau (DSI) launched 24-hour self-service application for the Certificate of Kinship. Macao residents can use self-service kiosk to apply for the Certificate of Kinship related to their parents, children, spouse, brother and sister, grandparents and grandchildren (hereinafter referred as “persons concerned”) anytime.
