Inauguration of the “Ren Dongsheng Scenography Exhibition” of the 31st Macao Arts Festival
The exhibition “Imagery and Space: Ren Dongsheng Scenography Exhibition”, integrated in the 31st Macao Arts Festival, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, was inaugurated on 7 May, at 6pm, at the MGM Theater, MGM COTAI, presenting a collection of models, photos and videos of works by Ren Dongsheng, a National First-Class Stage Designer. With the support of MGM as programme partner, the exhibition is held from 8 to 18 May (closed on 10 May). The exhibition is open to the general public.

Nice record of visitor arrivals during 1st May Labor Day Holidays 2021 Average hotel occupancy rate reached 83%
The five-day (1 – 5 May 2021) 1st May Labor Day Holidays of Mainland China has come to an end. Preliminary statistics revealed that Macao welcomed 167,000 visitor arrivals during the 1st May Labor Day Holidays while the average occupancy rate of local hotels reached 83.2%. On 1 May, Macao registered the new highest daily record of 45,000 visitor arrivals.

DSI online services will be suspended this weekend due to system maintenance
The Identification Services Bureau (DSI) will conduct system maintenance on 8th May 2021 (Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and all online services of DSI will be suspended at that time. Concurrently, Public Administration and Civil Services Bureau will carry out maintenance works for the improvement of the Cloud Computation Center electricity system from 8th May 2021 (Saturday) at midnight to 9th May 2021 (Sunday) at midnight. During that time, login by means of “Common Access to Public Services of the Macao SAR” account will not be available for all DSI online services. Citizens can still use other means to log in to DSI system for using relevant services. DSI are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

MUR announces findings of Iao Hon Estate research study

A survey conducted recently finds that about 30 percent of the flats in Iao Hon Estate were owner-occupied units and about 45 percent tenant-occupied, the rest were either unoccupied or where no one answered the door.

Residential property price index for January – March 2021
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the overall residential property price index for January - March 2021 decreased by 0.7% over the previous period (December 2020 - February 2021) to 261.2. The indices for the Macao Peninsula (260.7) and Taipa & Coloane (263.5) dropped by 0.8% and 0.4% respectively.
