Tending to enquiries referred by 24-hour Tourism Hotline “Stay, Dine and See Macao” local tours remain suspended

During the time when the typhoon signal No. 8 or above is hoisted, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) will tend to enquiries and assistance requests referred by the 24-hour Tourism Hotline (2833 3000) and send mobile text messages to Macao residents in the Mainland and visitors in Macao for notification about the typhoon signal No. 8 or above in effect. The latest weather news will be posted on MGTO’s website and platforms on social media.


Declaration of maintaining the state of immediate prevention

According to the Dispatch of the Chief Executive and the assessment of the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau, Typhoon Signal No. 8 is issued at 22:30 on 12 October 2021 under the impact of Tropical Storm “Kompasu”. According to Dispatch of the Chief Executive No. 141/2021, the Macao Special Administrative Region has entered the state of immediate prevention in order to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus in Macao. In response to the public emergencies concerned and to safeguard the life and property of citizens, pursuant to Article 8, Item 1 of Article 9 and Item 1(7) of Article 11 of Law No. 11/2020 (Civil Protection Legal Regime), it is declared that the Macao Special Administrative Region maintains the state of immediate prevention as from 22:30 on 12 October 2021.

IAM speeds up garbage clearing work in the streets

As the typhoon is approaching, IAM has coordinated with the Macau Residue System Company, Ltd. to speed up the garbage clearing work in the streets. IAM calls for public cooperation to store garbage at home temporarily. Building management entities should keep the garbage bins in the buildings so as to avoid the garbage from being blown to block the drains during the typhoon period and aggravating the accumulation of garbage in public streets after the typhoon.


Guangdong Province issues RMB2.2 billion offshore municipal government bond in Macao today

The Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government congratulated the People’s Government of Guangdong Province on the successful issuance of its inaugural offshore Renminbi (RMB) municipal government bond in Macao today (12 October). It also marked the first Mainland municipal government bond issued in Macao. The MSAR Government expressed its gratitude to the Ministry of Finance and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province for their support to Macao’s bond market development.
