Analysis report of statistical indicator system for moderate economic diversification of Macao, 2018

The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) publishes the Analysis Report of Statistical Indicator System for Moderate Economic Diversification of Macao annually starting from 2016, to facilitate objective evaluation and ongoing observation of the progress of moderate economic diversification of Macao. The 2018 Analysis Report is released along with updates to the thematic webpage of Statistical Indicator System for Moderate Economic Diversification of Macao, to provide data users with the latest statistics on the eight sections of the indicator system.


“Draw My Story of Stamps Contest” Selected Works Exhibition

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau encourage and discover more artists to participate in cultural creative arts and design. Communications Museum organizes the contest every year from the year of 2013. This contest is a hand-painted extended creation competition based on the theme and content presented in the selected stamp or souvenir sheet. From 2013 to 2019, we have received a total of 1,227 pieces of original work for participation.


PSP Christmas Dinner Party

The Public Security Police Force held the Christmas Dinner Party 2019 on 10 and 11 December 2019 respectively. Commissioner Leong Man Cheong led the leaders, chiefs of departments to celebrate the festive occasion with the colleagues and their family members.


Foreign exchange reserves and nominal effective exchange rate index for the pataca – November 2019

The Monetary Authority of Macao announced today that the preliminary estimate of Macao SAR’s foreign exchange reserves amounted to MOP170.9 billion (USD21.20 billion) at the end of November 2019. The reserves decreased by 1.4% from the revised value of MOP173.3 billion (USD21.47 billion) for the previous month. Macao SAR’s foreign exchange reserves at end-November 2019 represented 10 times the currency in circulation or 82.3% of pataca M2 at end-October 2019.



CE encourages public officials to make fresh contributions to Macao

The Chief Executive, Mr Chui Sai On, today called on the civil servant team to render full support to the new administration led by the fifth-term Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, and make new contributions to the sustainable development of Macao.



Consumer Council released 4th supermarket price survey report of the current month

The Consumer Council conducted its ‘Supermarket price survey’ of the first-half of December on 12 December for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included 7 supermarkets in Taipa and Coloane Parish. Consumers may now check the report data on the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo), the “Supermarket Price Information Platform” app, or the Council’s WeChat account.


UM hosts interdisciplinary lectures to promote Luso-Afro-Asian dialogues

The Research Centre for Luso-Asian Studies, under the Department of Portuguese, Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH), University of Macau (UM), recently organised three guest lectures and a public seminar under the title ‘Luso-Afro-Asian Dialogues’.
