Cultural Affairs Bureau will relocate the technology equipment next Thursday and Friday Operation of several websites and systems will be suspended
In order to ensure the proper operation of its information technology system, the Cultural Affairs Bureau will carry out relocation of the technology equipment currently stored in the telecommunications data centre from 3pm on 17 October (Thursday) to 10am on 18 October (Friday). During this period, the operation of several websites will be suspended, including the Cultural Affairs Bureau website and its sub-websites, the websites of the Cultural Heritage of Macao, the Macao World Heritage, the Macao Conservatory, the Archives of Macao, the Macao Museum of Art, the Macao Museum, the Macao Culture Centre, the IC Press Page, the “Art Macao”, the Macao Cultural and Creative Industries, the C2 Magazine and the Jao Tsung-I Academy, among others. In addition, IC’s Activity Registration System, the Community Funding Application System, the “WH Macau” mobile application, the “Art Macao” mobile application, the Inquiry System of Progress of Application for Filming and the “Macao eBooks” mobile application will also be unavailable during the above mentioned period. The normal operation of the websites and service will resume once the relocation of the technology equipment is completed.

Consumer Council released 3rd supermarket price survey report of the current month
The Consumer Council conducted its ‘Supermarket price survey’ of the first-half of October on 10 October for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included 10 supermarkets in Santo António Parish. Consumers may now check the report data on the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo), the “Supermarket Price Information Platform” app, or the Council’s WeChat account.

Three scholars from the University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) recently attended a financial technology (Fintech) forum for young scholars from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and co-organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office and the Municipal Affairs Bureau, the 22nd Lusofonia Festival will be held from 18 to 20 October, at the Taipa Houses, introducing to the public the lusophone culture. The Festival offers a diversified programme of activities, including music and dance performances, booths, gastronomy and games, allowing residents and tourists to experience the Portuguese customs and feel the Festival’s cheerful atmosphere.

Cultural Affairs Bureau announces candidates selected for the “2018 Subsidy Programme for the Production of Original Song Albums”
The second review of the “2018 Subsidy Programme for the Production of Original Song Albums”, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), was completed and a total of eight entrants were selected as eligible candidates of the Programme. Each eligible candidate will receive a subsidy of up to MOP150,000 granted by IC and guidance from members of the adjudicating panel, in order to commence the production of the selected original song albums.

30th Macao International Fireworks Display Contest unveils champion Japanese Team brings top prize home
Themed as “Duo Celebrations for Macao”, the 30th Macao International Fireworks Display Contest (the “Contest”) culminated in splendour tonight (5 October). Throughout the Contest, twelve fireworks teams presented their spectacular shows with unreserved efforts to compete for prizes to bring home. The top prize went to Marutamaya Ogatsu Fireworks Co., Ltd. from Japan, followed by the fireworks teams from China (Liuyang New Year Fireworks Trading Co., Ltd.) and France (SAS BREZAC Artifices) as first and second runners-up.
