Airport carries out security exercise to simulate the bomb threat emergency
To test the capacity of the emergency plans and the action plans of the entities and the competence of the personnel in handling aviation security emergencies, the government bodies and the aviation operators involved in airport security jointly conducted the “2020 Airport Security Exercise on Bomb Threat” in Macau International Airport on 23 July 2020 to simulate the activation of the Airport Emergency Plan in response to the finding of a suspected bomb in a checked luggage during security screening in the passenger terminal.

Arrangements for citizens to collect consumption subsidy of 2nd Phase at DSI
In regard to the 2nd Phase of Consumption Subsidy Scheme promulgated by Administrative Regulation No. 25/2020 of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, persons who did not hold the electronic consumption card of 1st phase and are lodging their first-time, renewal or replacement application of resident identity card during the collection period of the consumption subsidy can collect the electronic consumption card at the time of collecting the resident identity card at Identification Services Bureau (DSI).

Quotas for “Helicopter Ride Experience” Local Tour increased to over 1,500
Starting from 3 p.m. today (23 July), processing of applications has resumed for the local tour entitled “Helicopter Ride Experience” under the umbrella of “Macao Ready Go! Local Tours”. Applications are welcomed during the period from 3 p.m. on Thursday (23 July) to 6 p.m. on Sunday (26 July). Applicants are required to choose the tour dates upon application.

MPI Shares Research Results on Gaming Behavior
The Centre for Gaming and Tourism Studies (CJT) of Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) held a sharing session on “Gamblers’ Fatigue: The Evolving Trends of Gaming Behavior among Gamblers” at the MPI Taipa campus on July 20, presenting the latest research findings by the CJT research team led by Prof. Zeng Zhonglu. As a key research project jointly sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Science and Technology Development Fund of Macao, the study seeks to reveal the evolving trends of gaming behavior among the Macao residents, dealers, and the Chinese gaming patrons. It is hoped that this research work is of assistance in the formulation of a forward-looking strategy for the Macao gaming industry, and therefore in the promotion of healthy and sustainable development of the industry.
