“Art Macao: Artists’ Talk”promoting Chinese culture in new forms to the world
“Art Macao”, a mega international arts and cultural event, held the “Artists’ Talk” today (28 August) at the Vista, MGM COTAI, exploring how to promote Chinese culture in contemporary forms on the international stage, and bringing Macao art to the world. The Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Alexis Tam Chon Weng; the President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Mok Ian Ian; the Deputy Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office, Cheng Wai Tong; and several guest speakers held a discussion with the youth and had a lively exchange.

Commemorative postmark cancellation service of “Celebration of Teachers’ Day”

UM achieves breakthrough in developing non-invasive method to treat skin wounds with stem cell spheres
A research team from the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), University of Macau (UM), has developed a new method to treat skin wounds with stem cell spheres via topical application. Compared with the traditional method of stem cell injection, this new method is non-invasive and efficient. The study has been published in the renowned journal Theranostics (impact factor 8.063).

The “Performance to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the National Day of the People’s Republic of China”, jointly organized by the Macao SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, coordinated by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Department of Publicity and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao S.A.R., and supported by the Sports Bureau, specially features the spectacular acrobatic show “The Golden Hooped Rod” performed by the Nanjing Acrobatic Troupe Co. Ltd., allowing the public to enjoy an exquisite acrobatic show while celebrating the National Day. The show will be held on 30 September and 1 October, at 7:30pm, at the Macao Forum. Tickets are now on sale at the Macau Ticketing Network.

Employment survey for May-July 2019
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the general unemployment rate for May-July 2019 was 1.8%, and the unemployment rate of local residents was 2.4%; meanwhile, the underemployment rate was 0.5%. All the three indicators increased by 0.1 percentage point from the previous period (April-June 2019).
