MPU Teachers and Students Participate in the “Art Village Construction: Beyond Concepts – Yaoli Village Non-Fiction Creative Workshop”, Reaping Fruitful Outcomes

The Ministry of Education’s 2024 “Hong Kong, Macao, and Mainland China School Exchange Program - University Student Project” - “Art Village Construction: Beyond Concepts - Yaoli Village Non-Fiction Creative Workshop” was held in Yaoli Village, Nanxun District, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. 30 students from Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), Peking University, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong ventured into rural areas to explore practical creative project planning and operations, using creative management, artistic empowerment, and lifestyle aesthetics to support local rural revitalisation efforts.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) presentedSlava’s Snowshowfrom 6 to 8 September at the Macao Cultural Centre and it was well received by the local ticket buyers. For an audience building purpose, people from various local non-profit associations and charities were invited to a charity session having enjoyed a night of world class live theatre.


Draw held for WTT Champions Macao 2024 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group

WTT Champions Macao 2024 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group, organized by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, World Table Tennis (WTT) and Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), and co-organized by the Macau Table Tennis General Association, will be held at the Macao East Asian Games Dome from 9 to 15 September 2024. The draw ceremony was held today (7 September) by the organizers and attended by Andrew Vong, Acting Head of the Macau Grand Prix and Major Sporting Events Department of the Sports Bureau; Carol Tai, Vice President of External Affairs of GEG; Hoi Kong Hong, President of the Macau Table Tennis General Association; players Zhu Yuling from Macao, China and Benedikt Duda from Germany.



Notice for Class Suspension (2024-09-07 06:47)

Due to tropical cyclone, by regulation, classes of primary, infant, special education are suspended today. Schools should ensure that their premises are open and arrange for staff to look after the students who have arrived at school until the conditions are safe for them to go home. Classes or educational activities of secondary education are as usual.

Exhibition “The Splendour of Chinese Bronzes” inaugurated showcasing bronzeware culture and art from ancient China

Jointly organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and the National Museum of China, and implemented by the Macao Museum of Art (MAM), the exhibition “The Splendour of Chinese Bronzes: Masterpieces from the National Museum of China” was inaugurated on 6 September, on the 4th floor of the MAM. The opening ceremony was officiated by the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, Ao Ieong U; the Chief of the Office of the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, Ho Ioc San; the Deputy Director of the Department of Publicity and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, Yin Rutao; the President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, Leong Wai Man; the Deputy Director of the National Museum of China, Zhang Weiming; the Deputy Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office, Hoi Io Meng; and the Director of the Macao Museum of Art, Un Sio San.
