Mok Man Sam, a student from the Bachelor’s degree programme in Chinese-Portuguese/Portuguese-Chinese Translation and Interpretation at the Macao Polytechnic University Faculty of Languages and Translation, received the Best Student of Portuguese Award.

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 35^th Macao International Music Festival will stage a series of performances, including The musicAeterna Orchestra under the baton of Teodor Currentzis, the concert AuRora by fado singer Gisela João, the concert Song of the Ch’in presented by pristine guqin player Chen Leiji and the Chamber Ensemble of the China NCPA Orchestra, the concert Songs from Other Places by jazz diva Stacy Kent, as well as the closing performance Echoes Of Life co-created by German-Japanese pianist Alice Sara Ott and international award-winning architect Hakan Demirel. A limited number of tickets are still available for some of these performances.

Themed “Dresses Galore in Films”, this year’s Film Festival will feature over 20 film productions in Chinese and Portuguese, as well as outreach activities such as outdoor screenings, post-screening seminars and workshops, allowing the public to appreciate the aesthetics of cinema.
