Best of Asian theatre at CCM Learning to be happy
The Cultural Affairs Bureau presents the play Writing in Water, a hit by prolific, pioneering director Stan Lai set to be staged at Macao Cultural Centre in two shows, scheduled for November 24 and 25 (Friday and Saturday).

Evening concerts to be held at Lai Chi Vun Shipyards in October
In order to promote public appreciation of and participation in culture and the arts, as well as to build more performance platforms for local artistic and cultural practitioners, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) will hold evening concerts at Lai Chi Vun Shipyards - Plots X11-X15 in the second half of each month, between July and November, gathering musicians from various regions and different languages to present a variety of music performances in multiple music genres and promote exchanges. Following the concert “Local bands” in September, the concert “Collection of Western Songs” will be held at 4pm on 21 October. Admission is free. Residents and tourists are welcome to participate.

MGTO offers new online services for industry users’ access via Macao One Account
In line with the pursuit of electronic administration and offer of convenient public services, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has already launched a series of online services, for which users can access the Office’s systems via their Macao One Account as well. In addition to license renewal, submission of travel agencies’ quarterly reports and information of tour groups, room rate and price list declaration, the services now include online notifications and applications for maintenance or repair work, change of opening hours and termination of operations of establishments in designated categories.

“Style · Encounter Moment” Fashion Parade will be held on Friday
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and co-ordinated by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM), the “Style · Encounter Moment” Fashion Parade of the Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making will be held at 12pm this Friday (20 October) at the Macao Fashion Festival 2023 in Cotai Expo Hall C of The Venetian Macao. Admission is free and the public is welcome to appreciate the local fashion design.

MPU Collaborates with EU DG Interpreting to Celebrate International Translation Day 2023
The Faculty of Languages and Translation at Macao Polytechnic University recently organized a celebration for International Translation Day 2023, paying tribute to all language and translation professionals. In 2017, the United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 71/288, declaring 30 September as International Translation Day to recognize the role of translators in bridging nations. This year's theme for Translation Day was "Translation unveils the many faces of humanity," aiming to highlight the crucial role that translation plays in promoting global societal diversity. The celebration invited the participation of the European Commission Directorate-General for Interpretation (DG Interpreting) online, and students from the International Chinese Language Education program, as well as Chinese-Portuguese translation and Chinese-English translation programs, and announced the theme of International Translation Day in Chinese, Portuguese, and English. The event also featured various performances, creating a lively atmosphere.

Public tender for 15 market stalls and selection based on highest rankings in 5 items of assessment criteria
The public tender for 5 stalls in Horta da Mitra Market and 10 stalls in the Cooked Food Area of Patane Market commences today (18 October). The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will carry out assessment of tender documents of participants based on 5 items of assessment criteria, including operation strategies, experience and qualification, daily business hours of stall, diversity of product categories, convenience of payment tools, etc. Those who are interested in participating in the public tender can submit the application form, tender proposal and other documents from today until 16 November by 5:00 p.m. IAM will hold three explanatory sessions on the public tender at Patane Activity Centre on 25 October. The public are welcome to enrol for participation.
