Weekend parties of Little MICAF’s Paradise to be launched this week and additional performance of Chong Chong’s Hamsters
Under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government and organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 2ndMacao International Children’s Arts Festival(MICAF) continues to offer a series of exciting events. From 5 July to 17 August, the weekend parties of “Little MICAF’s Paradise” will be held at the end of every week, while the “Macao International Children’s Film Festival” will present two community screenings at Iao Hon Park in August. Meanwhile, the “Thematic Book Exhibition of the Public Library Collection” and a “Pop-up Bookshop” will be also set up to invite children and families to enjoy a vibrant summer immersed in the artistic ambience. Due to public demand, an additional performance of the multimedia puppet play Chong Chong's Hamsters will be offered on 11 July at 7:30pm, and the tickets will be on sale from 10am on 6 July through the Enjoy Macao Ticketing.

“The Magic of Lines: Serge Bloch’s Wonderland of Picture Books” opens on 4 July exploring the art in everyday life with adults and children through lines and storytelling
The exhibition “The Magic of Lines: Serge Bloch’s Wonderland of Picture Books”, jointly presented by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and MGM, will be open to the public for free from 4 July at the “•Art Space” and at the Navy Yard No.1 & No. 2. Serving as one of the highlight programmes of the 2nd Macao International Children’s Arts Festival, the exhibition invites visitors of all ages to join the imaginative space crafted by the French illustrator Serge Bloch. The space is infused with enchanting lines, setting up to embark on an artistic journey full of imagination, joy and inspiration, as well as uncover the subtle yet precious moments of life.

Cultural Affairs Bureau hosts series of activities in July to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the inscription of the “ Historic Centre of Macao” on the World Heritage List
In order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the inscription of the “Historic Centre of Macao” on the World Heritage List, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) will host a series of activities from July to December this year. The event is divided into five series, featuring a total of 20 intriguing activities resulting in more than 50 sessions. On 15 July, a date that is of great significance for the inscription, the “Opening Ceremony of the 20th Anniversary of the Inscription of the Historic Centre of Macao on the World Heritage List” will be held at the Dom Pedro V Theatre, sharing the beauty of Macao’s World Heritage with residents and tourists and celebrating the 20th anniversary of the inscription of the “Historic Centre of Macao” on the World Heritage List.

UM organises ‘Science in Action’ workshop to enhance secondary school students’ hands-on experience in experiments
The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) of the University of Macau (UM) organised a workshop as part of its ‘Science in Action: FHS Youth Research Mentorship Series’, with the aim of enhancing the understanding of and interest in health sciences among young people in Macao, as well as providing senior secondary school students with hands-on experience in experiments beyond the traditional classroom setting.

MPU Students Win Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals in Tertiary Group of the “12th Macao Student Multimedia Design Software Skills Competition”
The Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center and the Education and Youth Development Bureau held the "17th Macao Student Office Software Skills Competition" and the "12th Macao Student Multimedia Design Software Skills Competition". Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) students won the championship, first runner-up, and second runner-up positions in the tertiary group of the Adobe Multimedia Design Software Skills Competition, bringing glory to MPU. Ruan Xingyu, the champion, will represent Macao at the "Adobe Certified Professional World Championship", being organised between 27th and 30th July 2025 in Orlando, Florida, USA, where she will compete against other top competitors from around the world.
