Macao-Hengqin Delegation’s First Overseas Visit for Investment Promotion Gains Fruitful Results: Ten Investment Promotion Events during the 10-day Visit Highlight Synergistic Effect of “1+1>2”

From 12 to 21 March, the Macao-Hengqin Investment Promotion Delegation (“the Delegation”) organized a number of events such as investment promotions, seminars, market surveys, and visits to local enterprises in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. The Delegation held about 280 business matching sessions and facilitated the on-site signing of six cooperative projects, showing the international community that the Macao-Hengqin joint economy is pursuing integrative development and high-level opening up.



33rd Macao Arts Festival received an enthusiastic response from the public on the first day of ticket sales

Tickets for the 33rd Macao Arts Festival (MAF), organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, went on sale simultaneously through the Macau Ticketing Network outlets, telephone and online booking from 10am on 26 March. Many people bought tickets at the ticketing outlets on the first day of ticket sales for this year’s Festival in spite of the rain. The opening performance Rite of Spring presented by Yang Liping and the closing performance Patuá theatre Carnavaland were highly sought after. The programmes On Substance of Time by Portuguese Contemporary Dance Company and New Dragon Inn by Shanghai Jingju Theatre Company had an enthusiastic response. Tickets for some sessions of the local performances were sold out. The public is advised to purchase their tickets during the early bird discount period.


UM hosts 2023 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance Annual Working Meeting

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance, initiated by Sun Yat-sen University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the University of Macau (UM), recently held its 2023 annual working meeting. Hosted by UM, the meeting gathered more than 80 representatives of the 41 member universities of the alliance, who during the event shared their insights on building the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into an international education centre.

Cultural Affairs Bureau holds creative handicraft workshops at the Tap Siac Craft Market

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym), the Tap Siac Craft Market will be held from 20 to 23 and 27 to 30 April at Tap Siac Square. A total of 52 creative handicraft workshops will be held, including 10 sessions for families. The workshops include ceramics, glass, bonsai, painting, accessories and leather, integrating fun, creativity and crafts. Interested parties are welcome to participate.


MPU Student Cheang Wai Hun Wins Glory for Macao by Breaking the World Record for Single-arm Pull-ups

Cheang Wai Hun, a student of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Sports of the Macao Polytechnic University, has won glory for Macao by breaking the Guinness World Record for the most single-arm pull-ups in one minute.
