Cultural Affairs Bureau holds creative handicraft workshops at the Tap Siac Craft Market

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym), the Tap Siac Craft Market will be held from 20 to 23 and 27 to 30 April at Tap Siac Square. A total of 52 creative handicraft workshops will be held, including 10 sessions for families. The workshops include ceramics, glass, bonsai, painting, accessories and leather, integrating fun, creativity and crafts. Interested parties are welcome to participate.

Cheang Wai Hun, a student of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Sports of the Macao Polytechnic University, has won glory for Macao by breaking the Guinness World Record for the most single-arm pull-ups in one minute.



Household Income and Expenditure Survey Begins; Respondents Urged to Complete Online Survey or Schedule Face-to-face Interview

The Household Income and Expenditure Survey 2023 (HIES 2023) commenced today (26 March), and the one-year data collection period will end on 23 March 2024. The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) will collect data from a total of 8,320 housing units in 26 bi-weekly cycles, and 320 units will be visited in each cycle. DSEC appeals to the households of the selected units to cooperate and provide accurate information.


Racers make public appearance — Racers’ wax figures debut at Macao Grand Prix Museum on Monday (27 March)

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong make their first collaboration happen to exhibit wax figures of eight renowned racing drivers at the Macao Grand Prix Museum (the “Museum”) starting from Monday (27 March), to make the Museum more enchanting and enrich visitors’ experience. An inaugural ceremony will take place in the afternoon of the day to lift curtains upon the wax figures. Drivers Michael Rutter and Robert Huff are invited to grace the inauguration with their presence in Macao. As the Macau Grand Prix celebrates the 70th anniversary this year, exhibition of the wax figures, all modelled after internationally-celebrated motorsport racers, will add to the destination glamour that attracts visitors from diverse source markets worldwide to Macao.




“Macao.Hengqin Craft Market” inaugurated today Cultural Affairs Bureau visits the In-depth Cooperation Zone to deepen exchange and cooperation

Jointly organised by the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) of the Macao SAR Government, the “Macao.Hengqin Craft Market” is held from today (24 March) to 26 March at Fuxiang riverside, in Hengqin Chimelong. The market features 200 cultural and creative brands and products from Macao, Zhuhai, Hengqin and other cities of the Greater Bay Area, as well as a number of music performances. All are welcome to participate.
