As the COVID-19 epidemic situation remains stable, the Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau will cease announcing information about the stocks of rapid antigen test kits and KN95 masks in pharmacies
In response to the need for COVID-19 epidemic control in Macao and as a part of the government’s anti-epidemic measures, the Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau (ISAF) has been conducting surveys on the stocks of rapid antigen test (RAT) kits and KN95 masks in community pharmacies since mid-June. Information about the stocks of these two items in community pharmacies is updated and announced every two hours through the ISAF website.

“7+3” medical observation policy for arrivals from Hong Kong SAR, the region of Taiwan or foreign places to take effect from 00:00 on 6 August
As earlier announced by the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre, with effect from 00:00 on 6 August, the “7+3” medical observation policy will be implemented for inbound travellers from Hong Kong SAR, the region of Taiwan or foreign places. Upon entry into Macao, the concerned individuals shall be subject to centralized medical observation in isolation until the 7th day from the day after the date of entry, and then exercise self-health management until the 3rd day from the day following the day of release from medical observation, and self-health monitoring until the 7th day from the day following the day of release from medical observation.

External merchandise trade statistics for June 2022
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that total merchandise export amounted to MOP961 million in June 2022, down by 19.1% year-on-year. Value of re-exports (MOP811 million) fell by 20.7%, of which re-exports of Diamond & diamond jewellery and Machines, apparatus & parts decreased by 46.4% and 43.3% respectively, while those of Beauty, cosmetic & skincare products and Articles for casino surged by 105.2% and 94.3% respectively. Value of domestic exports (MOP151 million) dropped by 9.7%, of which domestic exports of Bread, pastry, cakes, biscuits & other bakers’ wares declined by 47.2% while those of Copper & articles thereof rose by 13.7%. Meanwhile, total merchandise import went down by 29.8% year-on-year to MOP10.51 billion; imports of Mobile phones and Beauty, cosmetic & skincare products reduced by 82.7% and 56.8% respectively, whereas imports of Food & beverages expanded by 36.5%. Merchandise trade deficit in June 2022 totalled MOP9.55 billion.

IAM publishes routine food surveillance results for second quarter with over 99% pass rate
The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) continuously carries out food safety supervision and sampling tests to assess the consumption risks of food products available on the market and their hygiene conditions. A total of 553 food samples on the market were randomly collected in the second quarter of this year for tests, resulting in an overall pass rate of 99.6%.

Persons released from medical isolation for COVID-19 are prohibited from entering Zhuhai from Macao within 30 days commencing on 5 August

The Macao Working Group of the Zhuhai-Macao Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism was notified by the Zhuhai authorities that a person from Macao, who had been infected with COVID-19, has entered Zhuhai on 4 August after being released from quarantine, and has tested “re-positive” by nucleic acid testing in Zhuhai, which has affected and hampered the epidemic prevention and control work in the two places.

Adjustments on NAT stations arrangements as of 5 August

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that, to coordinate with the nucleic acid testing of various groups of people, the arrangements of NAT stations will be adjusted as follows from 5 August (booking is mandatory for all stations), the public should take note before heading for sampling, and people intending to cross border should book their NAT at self-paid stations:

The Task Force on Epidemic Prevention and Control Work of Zhuhai Land Ports promulgated on 4 August 2022 a notice concerning the implementation of diversion measures to limit the number of border crossings in the Gongbei Port and the Qingmao Port starting from 6 a.m. on 5 August 2022 to facilitate the closing of the old arrival and departure halls of the Gongbei Port for fire safety improvement works.

CTT Macao warns the Public for Fraudulent SMSs

Recently, some citizens reported that they have received SMSs sent in the name of Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT), soliciting the recipient to click the embedded link to pay additional fee for their parcels and providepersonal information.
We have to clarify that CTT did not send the SMSs concerned and remind the public to stay vigilant. Anyone receiving such text messages, should stay cautious, never click on the link or provide any personal information. If anyone suspect to have fallen prey to scam, please call the Judiciary Police’s Anti-fraud hotline 8800 7777 or crime report hotline 993 for help.
