Subsistence Team to resume service of distributing vegetables and frozen meat food packs and boxed meals to support buildings listed as Red Code Zones

After typhoon, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will step up efforts to re-build canopy tents and set up work coordination stations outside each lockdown or precautionary zone, and the Subsistence Team will resume the service of delivering vegetables and frozen meat food packs and boxed meals to the households of the buildings listed as Red Code Zones at noon today (3 July).

90 additional positive cases between 00:00-24:00 yesterday (02 July), taking the total to 784

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that from 00:00 to 24:00 yesterday (02 July), Macao has recorded 90 additional cases that have tested positive by nucleic acid tests, taking the total number of cases to 784. Among the new cases, 60 were detected in the community, 30 were detected in individuals under management and control. Itineraries of the above cases will be uploaded to the Special Webpage Against Epidemics for public reference soon.

Mangoes imported from Taiwan test positive for novel coronavirus again, the whole batch is sealed and to be destroyed and has not entered the market

Samples collected from the external packaging of a batch of mangoes imported from Taiwan region tested positive for the novel coronavirus nucleic acid yesterday (1 July). The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) immediately initiated the contingency plan, and sealed the 5 boxes of affected mangoes weighing a total of 50 kilogrammes. The products concerned have not entered the market and are to be destroyed. IAM suspended the application for import from the brand concerned for one week starting from today.
