Organisers and participants of meal gathering events must strictly abide by the anti-epidemic requirements to keep the risk of epidemic transmission to a minimum

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre (hereinafter referred to as the “Centre”) indicates that in the light of the changing epidemic situations globally and in the surrounding regions, the risk of thedisease being imported into Macao is very high; hence, the “Points to Note for Organizing or Attending Meal Gathering Events” has been formulated, requiring organisers and participants of meal gathering events to strictly abide by various epidemic prevention requirements and work together to minimize the risk of epidemic transmission.


Grace period for the exchange of the XXIV Olympic Winter Games banknotes

As scheduled, the exchange period for the XXIV Olympic Winter Games banknotes will end on 25 March 2022 (Friday). For the convenience of those registrants who have not yet conducted the note exchange, a grace period will be granted between 28 March 2022 and 1 April 2022 to allow for the exchange of their subscribed notes at their previously selected bank.


Updated anti-pandemic measures for the Macao International Dragon Boat Races 2022

Organized by the Sports Bureau and the Dragon Boat Association of Macao, China, and co-organized by the Municipal Affairs Bureau and the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau, the Macao International Dragon Boat Races 2022 will be held on 29 May and 3 June at Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre.


Expedited service for Macao SAR travel document application is temporarily closed due to hardware failure

Due to the failure of the system hardware, the identification Services Bureau (DSI) will not accept expedited application for the Macao Special Administrative Region Passport and the Macao Special Administrative Region Travel Permit starting from today (22nd March) until further notice.


Commemorative postmark cancellation service of “70th Anniversary of the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau”

To celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at the Philatelic Shop of General Post Office, from 15:00 to 18:00 on 23rd March 2022 to provide the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “70th Anniversary of the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau”.


Updates on COVID-19 patients discharge criteria and health monitoring arrangements during convalescent period

In the light of the changes in the epidemiological characteristics of COVID-19, the National Health Commission (NHC) has updated its criteria for COVID-19 patients to be discharged from hospitals and released from isolation; the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre (hereinafter referred to as the “Centre”) indicates that after combining the mainland’s new criteria with the actual situation of Macao, has revised the criteria for COVID-19 patients’ discharge from isolation hospital and the health monitoring arrangements during convalescent period as follows:

MUR continues to collect views on local area plan for Iao Hon Estate

The local area plan for Iao Hon Estate has been preliminarily completed and Macau Urban Renewal Limited (MUR) representatives recently visited Iao Hon property owners to brief them about the plan. From 21st March, the special NAT measure applicable to holders of Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao with family visit (T) endorsement upon entry into Macao will be extended to the ports of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge or Inner Harbour Ferry Terminal

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre (hereinafter referred to as the “Centre”) announces that, in order to reduce any epidemiological risks caused by the frequent movement of people at relevant ports, under article 10 of Law no. 2/2004 – “Law on the Prevention, Control and Treatment of Infectious Diseases”, Announcement no. 114/A/SS/2022 is amended by the Health Bureau as follow: With effect from 00:00 on 21 March 2022, holders of Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao with family visit (T) endorsement who have made a total of 3 or more entries into Macao via the port of Border Gate, Qingmao Port, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge or Inner Harbour Ferry Terminal within a single day (i.e. between 00:00 and 23:59 on the same day) must, upon each entry, immediately undergo one COVID-19 nucleic acid test at their own expense and wait for the test result at the port, regardless of the time of sampling on their proof of negative NAT result.


Indoor interschool sports events will be held behind closed doors from March 21

In response to the changes in the epidemic situation in neighbouring regions and in line with the overall epidemic prevention and control work, and in order to protect the health of students and ensure that interschool activities can be held smoothly, the DSEDJ announced that starting from 21st March (Monday), indoor interschool sports events will be held behind closed doors, and no on-site audience is allowed. The online free ticket registration for the 39th Interschool Singing Competition will also be suspended until further notice.
