Consumers can check on Food Safety Information website for the list of more than 2,700 registered takeaway establishments
The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has received registration applications from about 2,900 establishments since the entry into force of the “Registration System for Establishments of Takeaway Activities”. After on-site inspections of each of them, 2,768 takeaway establishments have been issued with registration certificates. IAM reminds that takeaway establishments that have been issued a registration certificate must display their registration information to the public. If the relevant regulation is violated, the establishments can be fined 5,000 to 35,000 patacas. Those that have not yet registered must do so as soon as possible. Consumers can check the list of registered takeaway establishments and their information on the Food Safety Information website in order to protect their own rights and interests.

Employment survey for January-March 2022
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that both the general unemployment rate (3.5%) and the unemployment rate of local residents (4.5%) for January-March 2022 increased by 0.2 percentage points from the previous period (December 2021-February 2022). Meanwhile, the underemployment rate dropped by 0.1 percentage point to 2.8%.

IAM sets up 60 temporary collection points for large unwanted furniture items
To make it convenient for the public to dispose of large unwanted furniture items, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will set up 60 temporary collection points for large unwanted furniture items in the different districts of Macao from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. from May 1 to 7. Out of the 60 temporary collection points for large unwanted furniture items, 50 are located in the Macao Peninsula, 6 are located in Taipa and 4 are located in Coloane. IAM urges the public to dispose of unwanted furniture items properly at the mentioned time period and locations to avoid affecting pedestrian and traffic safety.

“hush! Summer Concerts” – open call for local bands and musicians
The event “2022 hush! Summer Concerts”, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym), will be held in July at various locations in Macao Peninsula and Coloane, during which a number of concerts and thematic performances, as well as intriguing activities including hush! bazaars, workshops, art installations and online music competitions will be held. In order to promote musical and cultural events in Macao, IC is now calling for the participation of local bands and musicians in the “2022 hush! Summer Concerts”. Interested parties are welcome to apply from 29 April to 18 May.

External merchandise trade statistics for March 2022
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that total merchandise export amounted to MOP1.43 billion in March 2022, up by 10.6% year-on-year. Value of re-exports (MOP1.27 billion) grew by 12.4%, with that of Beauty, cosmetic & skincare products and Non-diamond jewellery surging by 130.8% and 127.2% respectively. Value of domestic exports (MOP163 million) dropped by 1.6%, with that of Bread, pastry, cakes, biscuits & other bakers’ wares declining by 47.5%. Meanwhile, total merchandise import went up by 22.3% year-on-year to MOP13.88 billion; imports of Beauty, cosmetic & skincare products and Food & beverages expanded by 49.2% and 41.4% respectively, whereas imports of Articles for casino and Perfumes fell by 32.5% and 24.4% respectively. Merchandise trade deficit in March 2022 totalled MOP12.45 billion.

IAM clears and maintains sewers continuously before typhoon and rainy season with over 400 tonnes of waste cleared in first quarter
With the upcoming typhoon and rainy season, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) clears and maintains sewers in various districts continuously with a focus on stepping up inspection in areas susceptible to floods. The silt clearing work in multiple low-lying areas has been completed, and over 400 tonnes of waste was cleared from public drains between January and March this year. Moreover, IAM continues to step up inspections of construction sites and food establishments and initiates prosecutions against violations of regulations. IAM appeals to the society to jointly protect the drainage network to safeguard the normal functioning of the drains.

From April 29, measure for spectators to enter the venue for inter-school competitions will be relaxed
According to the latest epidemic prevention guidelines of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Health Bureau, the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) announced that starting from April 29 (Friday), spectators will be allowed to enter the indoor sporting venues to watch inter-school competitions. Spectators must take the initiative to show the proof of having completed their initial COVID-19 vaccination series (the initial COVID-19 vaccination series include 2 doses of the inactivated or messenger RNA vaccine) for 14 days (Macau Health Code with a "Golden Frame"), or a negative nucleic acid test result within 48 hours. Spectators must wear a mask at all times in the venue, pay attention to personal hygiene, and strictly follow the epidemic prevention guidelines. The DSEDJ will continue to evaluate the situation of the competitions and dynamically adjust the relevant measures for admission. We thank the public for their understanding and cooperation.
