UM students’ graduation works record Macao’s classic-brand restaurants
The University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) held a book launch for the magazine Communicator 2022 · Macau Flavour, which is the graduation work of the Department of Communication. Produced by fourth-year students of the department, this magazine describes the flavours of dishes that are unique to Macao based on interviews with more than 30 ‘classic brand’ restaurants in the city.

AACM resumes acceptance of B737 MAX flight applications
The Civil Aviation Authority of Macao SAR (AACM), having reviewed the mitigating actions taken by the Boeing Company to improve the systems of the B737 MAX aircraft in both the airworthiness and the operational aspects, and having analyzed the airworthiness directives published by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), accepts that the B737 MAX aircraft has met the conditions for return to service and the Authority has resumed the acceptance of the flight applications with the aircraft model.

To ensure product quality and to enhance service quality of the industry, as well as to strengthen protection of consumers, the Consumer Council and the Macao Goldsmith’s Guild announce the “Code of Practice” for Jewellers and Goldsmiths together, retail shops that are entitled to the “Certified Shop” emblem and members of the Guild should comply with the “Code of Practice”.

Mong-Ha Sports Centre Opens More Facilities on 26th January
In response to the demand for sports facilities from the community, Mong-Ha Sports Centre is opening more sports facilities for public on 26th January, such as futsal court and squash court on the 3rd floor and volleyball court on the 5th floor. Operation hour for these sports facilities and those that were already launched including badminton court, table tennis room, basketball court and the rooftop leisure area with jogging trail will be 8am to 10pm, Mondays to Sundays. Starting from 08:30 on 25th January, members of Sports Easy can reserve the newly launched venues 7 days in advance through the Bureau’s official website or mobile app. On-the-spot booking for instant use is also available from 26th January at the Mong-Ha service counter.

New pile foundation works for temporary and home-swap housing units on Lot P begin
Construction of temporary housing units and home-swap housing units on Lot P in Areia Preta began mid last year, where abandoned pile caps have been removed and existing piles have been tested. Works for new pile foundation are underway, with the project progressing according to plan.
