How to Apply

Time of application

1.  If persons who are granted Special Authorization to Stay for non-resident students need to change the personal information (e.g. name, name of parents, date of birth, marital status, etc.) declared and hence recorded in the personal file kept at the Residence and Stay Affairs Department, they may apply for change of personal information to the Subdivision which had processed their application for the relevant authorization.
2. Persons who are applying or going to apply for renewal or extension of Special Authorization to Stay for non-resident students may simultaneously submit applications for change of personal information.

Application Procedures and Documents Required

1. Application Approach
   1. The interested person or a legal agent makes the application.
   2. The agent should submit the following:
      1. A certified letter of authorization;
      2. A copy of his/her valid identification document.
2. Documents to be Presented
   1. Unless otherwise noted, the original should be exhibited for authentication if a copy is submitted;
   2. The copy should be authenticated if the original cannot be exhibited.
3. Documents to be Submitted
   1. Application Form for Change of Personal Information (DARP/DARP M-2) with reasons stated; ;[Note:  The form is available at the subdivision concerned and the website of the Public Security Police Force.]
   2. A copy of the identification document held by the interested person currently;
   3. Documentary proof supporting the application reason;
   4. Other documents as required by the Subdivision.

Remarks/Points to Note

According to Term 1, Article 66 of Law No. 16/2021, to apply for a visa, Authorization to Enter and Stay, Macao SAR Residence Authorization, Renewal or Extension of Residence Authorization means the interested person consents to have his or her personal information, which includes his or her biodata, handled by the Public Security Police Force.
