A UM paper on data mining accepted by top international conference ACM SIGKDD

A latest paper by a research team at the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City, University of Macau (UM), titled ‘Preserving Dynamic Attention for Long-Term Spatial-Temporal Prediction’, has been accepted by ACM SIGKDD 2020, a top conference in the field. This year, a total of 1,279 papers were submitted to the Research Track of KDD, of which 216 were accepted (16.8%).

The application deadline for the “Academic Research Grant”, launched by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), is 31 May 2020. Eligible academics may now submit their applications.


International banking statistics – March 2020

According to the statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, the proportion of international business in the local banking sector rebounded in the first quarter of 2020. At end-March 2020, the share of international assets in total banking assets increased to 85.9% from 85.2% at end-December 2019, while the share of international liabilities in total banking liabilities rose to 82.9% from 82.1%.



IFTM to change its domain name

IFTM is introducing a new domain name, iftm.edu.mo, for its institutional website and e-mail addresses. The new domain name replaces ift.edu.mo.
