Press Conference held for 2025 CTA Tour SJM Professional Finals (Macau) and National Tennis Championships

The 2025 CTA Tour SJM Professional Finals (Macau) and National Tennis Championships press conference was held at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. The event, title-sponsored and co-hosted by SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”), was announced to take place at the Macau Tennis Academy from December 1 to 7, marking the fifth consecutive year of this year-end tennis spectacle in Macau.


Cultural Affairs Bureau provides self-service holds pickup lockers at the Patane Library

In order to further improve the quality and convenience of public library services in Macao, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) launches self-service holds pickup lockers at the Patane Library from today, providing a more convenient access for the residents in that district to collect their reserved books. In addition, in order to meet the growing population and the readers’ demand in the northern district, more self-service holds pickup lockers were installed at the Bairro da Ilha Verde Library and the Wong Ieng Kuan Library in Areia Preta Urban Park, further expanding its service scope and quantity.

【International Exchange】UNESCO Creative Cities Network Annual Conference convenes in France

The 17th Annual Conference of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (referred to as UCCN or the Network) convened in Enghien-les-Bains, a UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts in France, on 23 and 24 June. Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and Cultural Affairs Bureau participated in this major annual event of the Network to strengthen exchange and cooperation with Creatives Cites from worldwide while introducing Macao as a Culture City of East Asia 2025, to raise Macao’s international profile and influence.


CE meets Secretary of CPC Foshan Municipal Committee

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, visited Foshan this afternoon, where he met with the Secretary of the Foshan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Mr Tang Yifeng. The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation in pharmaceutical research, cross-boundary elderly care, technological innovation, trade, finance, and cultural tourism.

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, was in Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province, today, where he met with the Secretary of the Zhaoqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Zhaoqing Municipal People's Congress, Mr Zhang Aijun. Both sides exchanged views on promoting high-quality development within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and on strengthening cooperation in ecology.





UTM held the '2nd Research Symposium on Event Studies' to explore research and industry-education collaboration

Further to the success from last year, the Macao University of Tourism (UTM) and the School of Tourism Management at the Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) once again jointly organised the ‘2nd Research Symposium on Event Studies’, as one of the celebratory events for UTM’s 30th anniversary, in UTM Mong-Há Campus on 24 June, with the support of Event Management Journal.
