CE chairs 2nd working meeting of leading group on public administration reform

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, said that the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government is restructuring the organisational framework of public departments, clarifying departmental responsibilities, and refining management of human and public resources. He emphasised the need for all concerned to implement tasks in an orderly manner, in order tangibly to enhance governmental efficiency in operational matters.


UM hosts Health Sciences Summer Camp for Outstanding Students of Mainland Universities

The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at the University of Macau (UM) hosted the Health Sciences Summer Camp for Outstanding Students of Mainland Universities 2025, attracting over 80 bachelor’s and master’s students from 19 ‘double first-class’ universities across the Chinese mainland. The camp aimed to promote academic exchange and strengthen cooperation between UM and mainland universities, stimulate participants’ interest in research, and broaden their horizons for research at master’s and doctoral levels.

Monetary and financial statistics – June 2025

According to statistics released today (5 August) by the Monetary Authority of Macao, broad money supply continued to grow in June 2025. Meanwhile, both resident deposits and loans increased from a month earlier.


Company statistics for the second quarter of 2025

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that a total of 1,107 new companies were incorporated in the second quarter of 2025, most of which were engaged in Wholesale & Retail Trade (380) and Business Services (326). Meanwhile, 283 companies were dissolved. The number of companies showed a net increase of 824 (+97 quarter-on-quarter).
