Declaration of immediate prevention stage
According to the assessment of the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau, the Typhoon Signal No. 8 is issued at 04h00 on 20 July 2025 under the impact of the Tropical Cyclone “Wipha”. In accordance with the Chief Executive Dispatch, pursuant to Article 8, Item 1 of Article 9, and Sub-item 7 of Item 1 of Article 11 of Law No. 11/2020 (Civil Protection Law), in order to safeguard the life and property of citizens, the Macao Special Administrative Region enters into the immediate prevention stage as of 04h00 on 20 July 2025.

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, has called for the civil protection management team to work cohesively to minimise any impact on the city that might arise from the passage of Typhoon Wipha. Announcement of Macao Union Medical Center regarding service arrangements when typhoon signal No.8 or higher is hoisted
The Islands Healthcare Complex – Macao Medical Center of Peking Union Medical College Hospital (hereinafter referred to as “Macao Union Medical Center”) announces that, during the period when typhoon signal No.8 or higher is hoisted in Macao, only the entrance towards the Islands Emergency Station is opened to ensure the safety of residents.
