IFTM Wine Appreciation Club supports Portuguese-speaking countries wine competition

The IFTM Wine Appreciation Club, an affiliate of the IFTM Student Union was invited as a supporting organisation in a Portuguese-speaking countries wine competition jointly organised by “G100 International Wine and Spirits Competition” and “2022 Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao) (2022PLPEX)”.


Macao Museum of Art hosts the ‘18th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia – Collateral Event from Macao, China’ Open Call for Exhibition Proposals

To encourage architectural talent in Macao to make breakthrough innovations and to increase exchanges between the industry in Macao and their international peers, the ‘18th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia – Collateral Event from Macao, China’ Open Call for Exhibition Proposals, organised by the Macao Museum of Art (MAM) under the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) and co-organised by the Architects Association of Macau, accepts exhibition proposals from today until 20 September. Eligible individuals aged 18 or above are welcome to submit inspiring and innovative proposals. The winning piece will be exhibited in Venice, Italy in May 2023 to initiate a dialogue with the contemporary world on an international arena along with other outstanding works from around the globe.



UM invites experts and scholars to provide suggestions on SAR government’s policies next year

The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Macau Studies (CMS) today (31 August) held an online seminar on the Macao SAR government’s policy address for the fiscal year 2023. During the event, which was chaired by CMS Director Agnes Lam, experts and scholars provided suggestions on the SAR government’s future policies and measures in the next fiscal year, including policies on stabilising the economy and improving people’s livelihood and strategies to integrate into national development. The participants also addressed the SAR government’s anti-pandemic measures and suggested enhancing the ability to cope with emergencies as well as formulating contingency plans for different situations in advance.


UM holds Joint Exhibition of Macao and Mainland University Libraries Service Innovation

Since the establishment of the Portuguese Language Resources Alliance for Academic Libraries between Macao SAR and the Mainland China, member libraries of the alliance have jointly offered various services and carried out different activities, such as inter-library document borrowing services and video conferences on Portuguese language teaching. In response to the alliance’s ‘One Library One Product’ activity to showcase innovative library services, the University of Macau (UM) will hold the Joint Exhibition of Macao and Mainland University Libraries Service Innovation from today until 15 September at the UM Library to exhibit the achievements of member libraries of the alliance in library service innovation.
