Arrangements for suspension of classes or face-to-face teaching for non-tertiary education schools and tertiary education institutions

In order to cooperate on epidemic prevention and control work of the SAR government, a mass nucleic acid test will be carried out from 3:00 pm on 25 September (Saturday) to 3:00 pm on 28 September (Tuesday). In response to the epidemic and related measures, non-tertiary education schools will suspend classes from today until 3 October. Tertiary education institutions have suspended face-to-face classes and the specific arrangements will be notified by each institution. The DSEDJ appeals to all students, including cross-border students, to stay at home and refrain from going out as far as possible to reduce the flow of people.

Temporary Closure of the Portuguese-speaking Countries Food Exhibition Centre

Taipa Flea Market put on a halt by IAM

In view of the development of the novel coronavirus pneumonia, the Taipa Flea Market and Gathering at Dusk in Senado Square have been put on a halt by the Municipal Affairs Bureau. Besides, organisations will be informed and required to suspend the San Kio Dawn Market, Hong Kung Night Market, Amazing Market and other events to reduce mass gathering as a measure to facilitate epidemic prevention and control.



The DSEDJ requires tertiary education institutions and schools of different education levels to suspend all teaching activities from today, cross-border students to avoid returning to Macao

In order to cooperate on the epidemic prevention and control work of the SAR government, guarantee the health and safety of teachers and students, the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) requires that all tertiary education institutions and non-tertiary education schools must cancel all activities and courses on campus starting from 25 September, cancel or postpone all class outings and visiting activities, suspend campus opening. Cross-border students reduce movement and avoid returning to Macao. Besides, the DSEDJ also strongly urges that private supplementary education support centres and institutions participating in Continuing Education Development Plan should suspend opening.


Citywide nucleic acid testing to be conducted from 3:00 pm today (25 September) to 3:00 pm on 28 September

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre (hereinafter referred to as the “Centre”) announces that, citywide nucleic acid testing will be conducted from 3:00 pm today (25) to 3:00 pm of 28 September. All local residents and people staying in Macao are required to get the test for free. If a nucleic acid test has been performed after 3:00 pm of 24 September, the concerned individuals may be exempted from the citywide NAT programme.


Ferry services between Macao and Wanzai in Zhuhai suspended temporarily

Due to the pandemic, ferry services between Macao's Inner Harbour Ferry Terminal and Zhuhai's Wanzai Port have been suspended temporarily from 14:00 today (25 September) until further notice.


Communications Museum is temporarily closed to the public

To cope with the MSAR Government’s response to the prevention and control of the pandemic, the Communications Museum, CTT is closed to the public, starting from 25 September until further notice.


Indoor facilities and venues of IAM temporarily closed to the public from today

In view of the latest situation of the novel coronavirus pneumonia and to facilitate prevention and control work, the activity centres in various districts, indoor facilities and venues, under the management of the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) are temporarily closed to the public starting from 25 September until further notice. During the period, the activities and interest classes held at the venues concerned are also suspended. Outdoor facilities such as parks, gardens and leisure areas, remain open as usual. The public are advised to pay attention to the arrangement.
