How to Apply
Application via self-service kiosks (Number tag is not required):
Applicants who lodge application with self-service kiosks need to present their Electronic Identity or their Macao SAR Resident Identity Card (BIR).
This service is applicable to persons who fulfill all of the following criteria:
- Holders of the Macao SAR Permanent Resident Identity Card or the Macao SAR Non-Permanent Resident Identity Card
- At least 18 years old
Required Documents:
The applicant has to provide both the Macao Resident Identity Card number and the valid Macao Resident Identity Card or Electronic Identity of the person(s) concerned (including parents, children, spouse, grandparents, grandchildren or siblings).
Remarks:
- A maximum of 8 persons concerned can be provided in one application.
- Eligible applicants can collect the certificate at the designated place on the same day.
Circumstances under which self-service application for the Certificate of Personal Data is not applicable, applicants should obtain a number tag and go through the formalities at DSI service counters:
(1) Resident identity card has expired (except during renewal process)
(2) Applicants who are in the process of renewing their resident identity cards
(3) Change of Personal Data (e.g. information on card, marital status, parents’ names, etc.)
(4) Interdicted person.
“Macao One Account”
Applicants need to download the “Macao One Account” mobile application.Please proceed to Online Services.
Required Documents:
The applicant has to provide both the Macao Resident Identity Card number and the image of the valid Macao Resident Identity Card of the person(s) concerned (including parents, children, spouse, grandparents, grandchildren or siblings)
Remarks:
- A maximum of 8 persons concerned can be provided in one application.
- Eligible applicants can collect the certificate at the designated place on the same day.
Application at counter (applicants are required to obtain a number tag in advance. For the methods to obtain the tag number, please refer to “Methods to Obtain Tag Number and Appointment” of the website of the Identification Services Bureau(DSI):
 a. Application made in person:
Applicants have to present their Macao SAR Resident Identity Card (BIR) or Electronic Identity.
Required Documents:
The applicant has to provide both the Macao Resident Identity Card number and the image of the valid Macao Resident Identity Card of the person(s) concerned (including parents, children, spouse, grandparents, grandchildren or siblings).
Remarks:
If an applicant is under18 years old, the application must be lodged by the parent or guardian at service counter in person.
b. Application made by an authorized person:
The authorized person has to present his/her Macao SAR Resident Identity Card (BIR) or Electronic Identity;
Required Documents:
- The applicant’s Macao SAR Resident Identity Card (BIR) or Electronic Identity;
- A duly completed Certificate of Kinship Application Form signed by the applicant using the signature on his/her Resident Identity Card (Download forms – Certificate of Kinship Application Form). If the applicant is under 18 years old, the applicant’s father, mother or guardian has to complete and sign the application form on behalf of the applicant;
- The applicant has to provide both the Macao Resident Identity Card number and the image of the valid Macao Resident Identity Card or Electronic Identity of the person(s) concerned (including parents, children, spouse, grandparents, grandchildren or siblings).
Remarks/ Notes for Application
- If the information about the relationship between the applicant and the applicant’s parents, children or spouse does not exist in the applicant’s Macao SAR Resident Identity Card record, they have to apply for kinship verification to DSI before lodging the application for the Certificate of Kinship through self-service kiosks or “Macao One Account”.Details of the kinship verification service can be found at www.dsi.gov.mo/QAndA_e.jsp#CH7.
- Applicants who lodged the application through the “Macao One Account” can check the expected collection date of their certificate by logging into their account.
- The Electronic Certificate has an equivalent legal effect as the Printed Certificate.

Fees and Payment Methods
Fees:
Printed certificate: MOP15.00 for the first page, and MOP5.00 for each additional page.
Electronic certificate: MOP15.00 for each certificate.

Processing Time
- 5 working days (Performance Pledge)
 (The processing time is counted from the following day after this bureau receives the application and all required documents.)
- Eligible applicants who lodged the application through the “Macao One Account” or self-service kiosks can collect their document according to the following time table:

Remarks:
1. The above collection date is calculated from the day after the application and all required documents are received by DSI.
2. If the applicant chooses to collect the documents in Hengqin, the documents will take additional 5 working days to be collected (i.e. estimated collection date plus 5 working days).

Applicants who lodged the application for identity document or certificate at service counters or self-service kiosks
Document Collection Procedures:
- Scan or input your receipt barcode. (If the receipt barcode cannot be detected, please ask our staff for assistance.)
- Be aware of your name and the corresponding counter number shown on the screen.
- Collect your document or certificate at the designated counter.
Collect in person:
Verification of applicant’s identity is required at the time of document collection. For identity card renewal or the former travel document has not expired, the former identity document must be brought along for cancellation.
Collect by an authorized person:
To authorize a representative to collect the document, the applicant has to fill out the authorization form on the receipt and sign the receipt according to the Macao SAR Resident Identity Card signature. Details of the procedure can be found at DSI’s Questions and Answers.
The Government Smart Locker – “Smart Collect”
Identification-related certificates can be collected through the Smart Locker – “Smart Collect”. If the applicant chooses to collect his/her documents at the “Smart Collect” at the Government 24-hour Self-service Center, he/she should collect the documents within 3 days upon the receipt of the collection notice form “Macao One Account” or “Business and Associations Platform”, otherwise the documents will be sent back to the Identification Services Bureau’s Collection Counter on 1/F of China Plaza for collection during office hours.
