Reissue of “Receipt of Residence Authorization / Residence Authorization Renewal”

How to Apply

Time of application: Persons who are granted a “Residence Receipt” by the Residence and Stay Affairs Department may apply for reissue of the document if it is lost, damaged, stolen or has expired.

Application procedures and documents required

  1. Application Approach
    1. The interested person or his/her legal representative applies to the respective Subdivision during office hours;
    2. In case of loss or theft, the interested person should first report the case to the police and then apply for reissue with the “Report Testimonial” issued by the Public Security Police Force or the “Complaint Notification” issued by the Judiciary Police;
    3. The legal representative should submit the following:
      1. A certified letter of authorization;
      2. A copy of his/her valid identification document.
    4. The interested person should collect the “Receipt of Residence Authorization” in person as he/she is required to be fingerprinted on the “Receipt”.
  2. Documents Must be Presented: The original should be exhibited for authentication if a copy is submitted.
  3. Necessary Documents
    1. An application letter with reasonable justification;
      [Note: The “application letter” template is available at the respective Subdivision and the website of the Public Security Police Force.]
    2. Copy of the interested person’s valid passport/travel document (bio data page only) or identification document used for application for “Residence Authorization” (or renewal of “Residence Authorization”);
    3. “Report Testimonial” or “Complaint Notification” issued at a police department (in case of loss or theft).
      [Note: It can be submitted later as supplementary document.]
  4. Form : Declaration/Application Letter (DARP/DARP M-7)

Office Hours Mon to Thu 9:00 – 17:45
Fri 9:00 – 17:30
Closed on Sat, Sun and government holidays
Tags dispensed until 17:00 (for making applications)
17:15 (collection of result or document supplementation)


  1. Reasonable justification given: MOP50;
  2. Reasonable justification not given: MOP200.

Processing Time (excluding time of waiting in a queue and postage time for documents sent by mail)

by 12:00 of the next working day <Performance Pledge>
(From the moment when the service unit received and confirmed that all the required documents had been correctly prepared.)

Remark / Requirements

  1. According to Article 25 of Administrative Regulation No. 5/2003, the “Residence Receipt” should be used to apply to the Identification Bureau for a Macao Identity Card before its expiry (within 60 days).
  2.  “Report Testimonial” and “Complaint Notification” can be submitted later as supplementary document.
